UNREALISTIC & IMPRACTICAL Survival Guide for busy women., March 4, 2005
This review is from: Make Time: The Survival Guide for Women with Too Much to Do (Paperback)
In principle the book is a great idea but based on content Allardice's "Make Time" is an UNREALISTIC & IMPRACTICAL SURVIVAL GUIDE for busy women.
The audience for whom she writes this book is a small percentage of the general population, those with enough money, resources and a strong support system around them to help them delegate, make their busy lives more fluid and less stressful. Those busy women that belong to this small group ALREADY ARE using their money to pay for services and enjoying the fruits of delegating tasks, making free-time work for their own enjoyment and peace of mind. They didn't need to learn from it on Allardice's book, it is all common sense and public domain knowledge.
So, if you are a woman that works 2 jobs, no money and no support system, there is no way you will survive following her suggestions.
Regarding content, there is nothing inventive about her suggested survival solutions or life-enhancing strategies.
I gave Pamela Allardice 2 stars for the effort/discipline of sitting down and putting +200 pages together and calling this a book. This book came to me as a dear present and I did read it completely.
DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME READING IT, value your health and time, instead take a nap (siesta) or play longer with your kids!
