Glamorous close-up photos of models of all ages guide you through each step of application. First, achieve the ideal eyebrow shape for your face and tend to thin or uneven eyebrows. 2.0 out of 5 stars Good For Starters..., May 31, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Make Up Book (Hardcover)
A fairly good book, though she seems to have you put on too much make-up. "Foundation is neccesary" etc...when I used her tips I looked good, but a bit made-up! It has great tips, though, and is definitely a good starting book! For a more every-day book, with good tips and stuff, I would get Kevyn Aucoin's "Making Faces."

4.0 out of 5 stars A Must For All Make-Up Students!, April 20, 2000
By
This review is from: The Make Up Book (Hardcover)
What a great book! I am a professional Make-Up artist who both lectures make-up at a modelling academy and a Make-Up & Hairdressing Academy and does freelance work. This book provides information for both levels of education. Chapters on Tools of Trade and how to look after them are a must. Once you read through this chapter, move on to learn about make-up products and application techniques. There are sections about analyising the facial structure, undertones of skin, as well as making the most of these attributes. Learn how to create certain looks for different occasions. This book is wonderful for discovering the basics of make-up application and the basic concepts of colour in make-up application. I wish this book was around when I did my make-up course!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Make-Up Book, April 18, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Make Up Book (Hardcover)
This book is really a must have for any and all people that wear or apply make-up. It shows you a wide array of techniques, color uses, and how NOT to waste your money on tools. If you want only one book about make-up, to learn everything, and not to spend too much, this is the book to get.
