3.0 out of 5 stars Revised & Updated? Please!, September 1, 2004
The book is outdated. It has several references to things that are clearly not done any longer. Like creating a slide show for a business. Not a computer powerpoint slideshow but the original slideshow that families used to show after a vacation. C'mon update the book. Having just criticzed the book for failing to update the text, I do think there is a lot of positives in the book that make it worth purchasing. It is not a "let's show you how" kinda book - it is more of an idea book. Very good, entreprenuerial ideas that I'm sure many overlook. One positive of it being outdated is that instead of the title being "Make $25,000 a year" it really should now be "Make $50,000 a year" simply due to the old pricing he refers to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed to get started!, May 24, 2003

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had thought for years that maybe it would be fun to sell some of my photos. Last year I saw the book, purchased it, and wouldn't put it down until I finished it. There were so many simple ideas on where to find business that I decided to pursue photography as a career. Less than a year later and with a lot of hard work, I am a working professional photographer. Without Larry's book I might have never had the courage and determination to pursue this career or the know-how of where to find business. This book got me started, but was certainly not the only book I've read since then. There's a lot more to a photography business than one book can possibly cover. But with this book convincing me that money can be made in photography, I'm doing it and loving it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Gives short non-complicated ideas of how to make money, July 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: How You Can Make $25,000 a Year With Your Camera (No Matter Where You Live) (Paperback)
This is my first read about making money with my camera. It has given me encouragement that I can make a living as a photographer without a studio and without much expensive equipment. The ideas on where to find business was extremely helpful.
