Great Read- a 4.5 rating from me,

This is the first novel I have ever read by Niobia Bryant. Needless to say I was pleasantly happy with her style. I was irritated by a few mistakes within the novel (there were instances when the text should have read that Julius was speaking but she would put Jordan instead even though Jordan wasn't even in that particular scene).
I really liked Caress, she was a woman who had hit rock bottom and I like how Niobia remained true to that character. She didn't assume after finding her man that he would always take care of them...she carried on until he proved with the utlimate commitment that he was dedicated to her. Julius, Julius, Julius-----besides his overly neat trait I was in love with his character. Not only was he fine, but he was a loyal and honest friend. I appreciated how Niobia also remained true to his character- even though he was clearly infatuated with Caress he was still a man confused about natural things. (Am I really in love with this woman? Is this really my baby? Am I ready for marriage?) Many romance novels turn these lifelong playboys into instant marriage material and that sometimes gets under my skin because it happens to easily. Niobia built this character up to really fall in love with this woman and for more than just the physical. He cared about her well-being but was still gaurded.... Overall this was an excellent book that I would recommend to anyone.

Unexpected,

I don't know how you can be melodramatic and anticlimactic at the same time, but this book managed. I love Niobia Bryant. Hot like firs was the first romance that I read and it didn't make me nauseous but this was horrible. I would have never expected this from her. Highly disappointed.

I loved this book. Julius and Caress oh my these two Hot Hot Hot the chemistry and heat was there right from the beginning. I loved Caress she was a strong independent sista she loved and wanted Julius love from the start. It took Julius a little bit more time to accept that he loved Caress. But when he did oh my they were so good together. They had some bumps along the way to there everlasting love but there love was to strong. These two were meant for each other. Tamara and Kendrick oh my goodness two loyal trusting and loving friends. Every women should have a girfriend like Tamara. Loyal, funny she had Caress back and anybody who messed with her friend had to deal with Tamara. If Julius didn't man up and take care of his responsibilities Tamara was going to hurt him. And what a joy to revisit with Jordan and Mia from Three Times a Lady. Niobia outstanding wonderful book. Keep the books coming.

I hate waiting on a book and then end up disappointed. This book was unpredictable which was probably the best thing about it but not the great spark or love connection that I'm used to with Niobia's stories. I don't know, the characters were a little too mismatched.

I love Niobia Bryant. I have read at least nine of her books in two months. Least to say I love the book Make You Mine. Caress was a strong, independent, less than neat woman and Julius was a sexy, smart, meticulous man; in other wards complete opposite but opposite could and did attract. I love the fact that Julius was a successful black man that love his culture. He was loving, giving and caring and so much more, something we like to see in our men. Niobia has a way of portraying black men in a good light and that draws me to her books. Also, she has a way of writing the male characters in her book from a male view point.

One of the worst books I have ever read. The only reason I continued reading is because I already paid for it, and didnt want to feel like I wasted my money. So please, do yourself a favor and save your hard earned money.
Disappointed

I really loved this book. Two total opposites: him the successful photographer OCD neat freak she: the unemployed slob yet they had chemistry that most people can't buy. I was waiting for Julius to do the right thing, and when he finally did Caress started acting like a fool. In the end they worked it out, but between the drama, and the steamy sex scenes thie book really kept me entertained. Is was a gr8 read.

I totally loved it real life love, shows difference and issues and how they resolved it. Loved the baby he was so sweet, and it touches on how men and women see relationships and what they expect and how to come to their realization of love.

A QUICK READ. TWO PEOPLE FORCED INTO ONE DATE, END UP HAVING SEX AND THE GIRL GETS PREGNANT...HE LEAVES FOR AFRICA FOR 3 MONTHS AND COMES HOME TO FIND HER KNOCKED UP AND LIVING IN HIS APARTMENT. IT TOOK THEM THE WHOLE BOOK TO DECIDE THAT THEY WANTED TO BE TOGETHER. GREAT FOR THE SHELF.
