Buy it! You will be rewarded many times over.,

I can't recommend this book highly enough. A collection of over 200 short essays, this book is one of the original spiritual self-help books. Read one a day and watch your life slowly change for the better. Emmet Fox used to speak before crowds of thousands in the 1940s, and his message of love and scientific prayer is more relevent today than it was then.

This is one of the best books I've ever read. It is meant to be read one essay per day. I have seen the principles described in the book enacted in my life and have been transformed by understanding and applying Fox's view of prayer.

This is good for daily reflections. If you like Emmet Fox you will love C.A. Lewis' An Encounter With A Prophet.

I found this book at a crossroads in my life. This was the first book that I read by Emmet Fox, it began a transfiguration in my life likened to no other. This book deals with specifics in consciousness and practical, real ways to address anxieties and problems each of us face in our daily lives. I can't recommend it enough; it changed my entire outlook on life.

This is a wonderful inspiring comforting book. Each essay has something important to say. I purchased this book a long time ago but am just getting into now. What I have found is the more you read, the more you understand. I am going deeper and deeper with the concepts and it's wonderful. Highly recomended for SOM followers and other spiritual people.

In today's world of "doom and gloom" fears, I love Emmet Fox's book "Make Your Life Worthwhile." He cites Bibical verses for guidance, prayer steps for results, and useful thoughts to practice for good health, happiness, freedom, and spiritual progress. He writes in such an easy going tone, is easy to comprehend (explains Bible metaphors to fit our lives now), and I feel his wisdom on every page. Very encouraging 1-2 page essays!

Fox causes a person to think about the larger issues of life. He makes some worthwhile points in this book, but the major weakness is he misses the mark when he writes that you and I are gods (p. 125). That's a lie! We're NOT!The valid things he teaches are the principles taught by Jesus Who is God. He tells how to apply the Golden Rule, i.e., to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. He elaborates on a principle from Proverbs, that as a man thinks so is he by telling us "you are always thinking, when you are not asleep, and you know that it is in the selection of your thoughts that your destiny lies" (p. 97). If read with caution, and the lies are discarded, he makes some valid points in this book. |
