1.0 out of 5 stars Rip Off !!! September 1, 2009
Format:Paperback
First, very few of he items can be considered sex TOYS.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Here are example of what they tell you:

* Use a basic crochet knot and make a Member Warmer
(doesn't even tell you how to link to the next row)...

* Cut a hole in a bar of soap and have squeaky clean fun...

* Buy a flexible stick and duct tape shoe laces or leather strips to make a flogger...

* Put gold leaf on her breast to look sexy...

* Sew a short strip of elastic to make a ball stretcher...

* Run a cord through some wood beads to make love beads...

* Put a condom in an old sock, fill with lube, have fun...

* Make a hole in a ripe melon, heat in microwave for 30 seconds, Have fun...

This is, without a doubt, the biggest waste of money I've ever seen!

This book has been a go-to this winter for fun, easy to accomplish craft projects for my daughter Mindy's Brownie Scout Troop. There are 50 individual projects listed so each girl can make at least two items which will certainly come in handy for Mother and Father's Day presents later this spring. As soon as I took the book out of the paper bag, the girls started to circle round, wide eyed in wonder at all the fun and stimulating projects before them. In fact, they started to scream and cover their eyes! Little girls of that age can be so excitable, can't they? This book has also been a big hit at my son's Cub Scout meetings as well. There is enough to interest boys as well as girls. I highly recommend this craft book!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Patients at the Nursing Home Love It! May 30, 2012
Format:Paperback
I am the Activity Director at a nursing home and I bought this book for craft day and had the ladies make various objects found in the book. I didn't have the opportunity to ask them if they liked what they created since many of them went to their rooms immediately after their projects were completed. But I do know one thing, our patients are so much happier. There were times when I'd catch the ladies sneaking over to the rooms of our male patients which is strictly against our nursing home policy. Since the ladies have made their devices we no longer have this issue. If anything the ladies are staying in their rooms a lot more. An extra added bonus is that we haven't lost any patients since this craft activity took place. One patient who was bedridden for 6 years is now able to move about the nursing home without assistance. A couple of our male patients who have seen the devices are interested in making their own so I am currently planning a craft day for them as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a "Do-It-Yourselfers" wet dream! March 8, 2011
Format:Paperback
OK, I hate to gush but... wait, it occurs to me that may not be the best choice of words to begin a review on a "Make Your Own Sex Toys" book. Let me rephrase that... I'm not one who likes to fawn over an author's work like some out of control fanboy at a Justin Bieber concert. In this case, I'm gonna make an exception. The author of this book, Matt Pagett, is to homemade sex toys as Bob Villa is to bathroom renovation.

I'm a bona fide do-it-yourselfer. When my truck's broke do I call a mechanic? Heck no... I fix it. When my wife devotes two hours and a bottle of Miralax to clogging up the plumbing in our toilet (sorry honey if you are reading this) I don't call no stinkin' plumber... I unclog it. So when it comes time to stock up my home dungeon for the Mrs, you think I'm gonna go buy some high dollar plastic ding-a-ling? Or invest in a rubber replica of Pam Anderson's nether regions for myself to have relations with? Heck no... I'm putting on the welding gear and making my own devices.

This book stops short of providing schematic drawings for your more exotic 'dungeon quality' devices but is rife with tips on even using common household items to enhance your pleasure when you make sexy-time.

This book is quite literally, a do-it-yourselfer's wet dream.

1.0 out of 5 stars waste of money March 24, 2010

I bought this as a joke for a friend's bachelorette party but I was so disappointed with it I didn't even give it to her. Not funny at all, and totally ridiculous. A complete waste of money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book---I made my own Orgasmatron!!! February 20, 2012
Format:Paperback
Anyone familiar with the Woody Allen movie Sleeper might remember the scene in which Woody uses an Orgasmatron to get off, a device that is a common household appliance in future homes. Well, me being the forward thinking visionary that I am, was unwilling to wait for the future, so I decided the only way to do it was to build my own Orgasmatron. I have been searching for years to find some kind of DIY manual that could help me construct my own orgasmatron. Finally, I found this book, which provided enough of the raw material foundational ideas to get me started. The author covers basic construction techniques, creative use of household products, and has a keen insight into what a good sexual pleasure device entails.

I supplemented this book with a little handyman how to and books like Reader's Digest Complete Do it Yourself Manual, as well as a few Star Trek episodes, and bingo, I now have the world's first working electronic Orgasmatron. I now no longer have any need for all those back issues of Vogue Magazine I had accumulated over the years, as instant gratification is just one button push away!
