EXCLUSIVE - "Thieves (Live In Studio)"

Biography

Success is a devilish opiate. A swift and heady drink that goes down smooth at first, and then starts to burn your throat and rattle your bones. Only to leave crater sized holes in your constitution the next day. We all love a good success story, don't we? But interestingly, what usually makes it 'good' are not the 'good' things about the story. No. It's the bad things that perk our ears up. It's… Read more in Amazon's Incubus Store

3.0 out of 5 stars Import not worth it, December 4, 2000
By
This review is from: Make Yourself (Audio CD)
Unless you're trying to get every Incubus CD out there, don't pay the extra money. Make Yourself is an excellent CD, and Crowded Elevator is a decent song, but it doesn't justify the $33 cost of this CD. Instead, you should get the US version (if you dont have it, stop reading and buy it now!) and a copy of the E.P. "When Incubus Attacks", or a copy of the Pardon Me single, which includes the song. That'll save you money in the long run, as well as leave you money to buy the rest of Incubus's line up.

3.0 out of 5 stars EXCELENT cd... but definetly not worth the import, September 16, 2001

This CD is incredible! I truely think it is the best Rock album of 2000. Everything about it is incredibly written and thought out, and everything fits together perfectly with a sound that is far more advanced from anything else thats on modern radio. But paying so much for an import version of it with "Crowded Elevator" on it is not a good idea. "Crowded Elevator" is also on the "When Incubus Attacks vol. 1" CD which is where I first heard it, and its decent, but definetly not worth paying an extra twenty bucks for. If you want this for the purpose of collecting Incubus merchandise, then go ahead and get it. But if you're getting it becuase it has an extra track on it, dont bother. Try to get ahold of a copy of "When Incubus Attacks" instead. It's got "Crowded Elevator", and also includes several other awesome acoustic and live tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album with good acoustic x-tras!, April 18, 2000
By
Brant (Baton Rouge, La) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Make Yourself (Audio CD)
This album defines Incubus' lyrical quest for the Direction in which this band is headed. The extra tracks are acoustic versions of such songs as Pardon Me, and I Miss You, there are others though. Brandon's voice and lyrical passion is self-evident on this cd. Go out and buy the original or the import, it is not a loss of cash.
