Make Yourself Sick,
By
This review is from: Make Yourself Sick (Audio CD)
i've been waiting for this cd to come out for a while now and it was well worth the wait. BNO's debut on ferret records is an outstanding sequel to their Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses ep. The lyrics are dark, honest, and beautiful. This one of the best cd's of the year, and your collection would not be complete without it. Checkout their e-card at www.boysnightout.net to listen to the entire cd. The only thing better than listening to the recorded versions of these songs, is listening to the raw intensity of Boys Night Out in concert. You need this cd.

Boys Night Out Debuts at High Performance,
This review is from: Make Yourself Sick (Audio CD)
First of all "A torrid Love Affair" is one of the best written emo/screamo songs of all time. This cd is a great follow up to BB&BK. "I GOt Punched in the Nose" is a great opener with catchy lyrics and guitar. "Hold on Tightly" is another great lyrical song with a electrical sound. "The subleties that make..." is prob one of the most catchy songs on the cd."Anatomy of the Journey" is an amazing song that starts off with dark screaming and goes into detail to explain following the sounds of a bullet to a murder scene. Boys Night Out combines screaming and singing better than any other band Ive heard. Go Pick UP MYS now.

Boys Night Out - Make Yourself Sick,
By Nate Freese (Caldwell, Idaho) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Make Yourself Sick (Audio CD)
Boys Night Out pulls off the ever-popular "smooth vocals & screaming" sound with unmatched superiority. That being said, these Canadians don't belt out anything ground breaking; but when front man Conor Lovat-Fraser yelps into his mic, he does so with convincing attitude. This is fun music; and while the lyrical content can seem a tad repetitive, it too has it's novelty. Check out, "The First Time It Shouldn't Taste Like Blood," and "The Fine Art of Making It Out Alive." 3/5
