This guide is a supplement to the book "The Makers Diet". I finished reading the book, which was full of alot of fluff, still wanting more information on the actual diet.

This Shoppers guide is the "more information" I was looking for. I bought the two books together and, had I looked at it first, I would have not bought the book, just the shoppers guide. The guide has all the information on the diet that is listed in the book - but many more recipes, meal plans, and food choices.

Had this shoppers guide information been included in the original book then the book would have almost been worth what I paid for it - which I felt it was not.

If you have a choice between the full book or the shoppers guide - just get the shoppers guide. You will have all the info you need about this diet in a "readers digest" form, and the money I forked out for the book in your pocket!

I had become unable to work and close to death from misprescribed medications and other health issues. I could not put sentences together or even hold me head erect and my children became so worried that my daughter left her family to help me. I had not read the book at that point but we read it together and decided to try it since the doctors couldn't seem to help me. We followed it exactly and within a few weeks my health had improved remarkably and my mind was sharp again. I have been on it ever since and I have lost 50 lbs. and feel better than I have in many years. I'm 66 years old and thought life was over until I read this book. Just remember that reading won't do it - you have to commit to it. Thank you Jordan Rubin!

My husband and I have eased into this program slowly and gradually. Over the weeks we've integrated healthy, organic foods and replaced unhealthy food choices with fresh fruits, vegetables and kosher meats. We've slowly added certain healthy supplements as well and we BOTH feel an incredible change in our physical health. We've both been so close to death's door, we had to do something and this was a lifesaver. We're on our way to restoration, thanks to this book. We highly recommend it.

I loved this shoppers guide. It took all the guesswork out of shopping for my health. I also purchased "The Maker's Diet" book by Jordan Rubin and loved it as well. It gave me the opportunity to understand the motivation and the "why" behind the food which helps me make it personal in my life. I recommend this to anyone wanting more energy and a healthier lifestyle. The shoppers guide is easy to read, small enough to take to the grocery store and thorough. I also loved the recipies.

Yes, you can buy just the guide, but you'll miss out on so much of the "WHY". I say, buy both the guide and the Maker's Diet. The cost is really very low. I suffer from multiple health problems, including severe neurological symptoms that affect my ability to function and work, chemical intolerance, severe fatigue, and a host of female problems including a strong possibility of uterine cancer (5 symptoms) but a negative biopsy. I just finished reading the Maker's Diet for the 2nd time. This is a GREAT book. I have tried every diet out there, including South Beach, Blood type, Veganism, you name it. Raw foodism worked, but I felt protein starved all of the time. This diet is working from day one and my symptoms are much improved. You must take the HSO's! I am convinced it is the combo of diet plus HSO and green food supplementation that is so important. So, don't listen to the whiners. The low cost of these two books could save you thousands in health care costs.

This is an excellent source of nutritional health. The advice comes from the greatest expert on nutrition of all time, God. Dr. Rubin does a convincing job of discussing the correct way to eat for optimal health. This book is changing my life.

After reading the big and bulky Maker's Diet, the shopper's guide was just what I needed as I eat at resturants and shop at the grocery store. This book is small enough to even fit in my purse!

I have read and tried many diets in my life (49).
The biblically based book of personal experience, research and recovery explains what to eat and why and what not to eat and why. As well as advice on exercising, mental health, relaxation and personal hygiene.
Its a win win book. If you are looking for the 'right' way to eat and why you need to get this book.
I have recommended it to all my friends and like so many have been bombarded with diets per say.
This is more than just that, its a way of life.
Jordan Rubin explains in detail why certain foods we should and shouldn't eat. He explains how our body works and how these foods work against or for us.
I have been so enlightened. I got the book he specifically wrote on IBS and sent it to my mother who has suffered from this for over 15 yeas. She read it and has applied just some of his advice and feels better already! She is totally impressed with his book as well. She has begun to read this one as well and is finding even more information to follow and she is 83 years old. It's never too late folks.
