As a mother of a girl, age 7, I was looking for books that would interest her, as she is beyond the teddy bears and dollies stage. While my daughter was interested in Mary Kate and Ashley, she found their other books a little too hard for a second grader. Then, we found this series. It is perfect for her. With colorful pictures and an up-to-date story line, it is great for girls her age.

My daughter, a first grader was able to read through the MaryKate & Ashley series of books on average within an hour, the 4 or 5 she has read far.

Great books for chapter readers starting out. When I looked for these at B&N the assistant was amazed that a 7 year old was reading pre-teen literature.

Great stories for young readers, an exciting page turner, too bad there was only a series of 8 books, as this series has graphics and photos which add to the story and help keep the interest up.
