5.0 out of 5 stars Klear is still together, January 30, 2006
This review is from: Makin Noise (Audio CD)
Contrary to a previous post, klear did not split up. Fred Schafer has left the band to persue a solo career. The new frontman for the band is A.D. Lewis. The band is currently recording their 3 album with a release date due soon. The band still rocks any concert hall they perform in and will continue to do so. Bruce, Denny, Leo, Dan and A.D.--------Keep on Rockin' Western New York!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have fans that will support you forever!!!

A friend of mine once said to me, "Our album should be out by the end of the year." That was back in 2002. The friend's name: Bruce Wojik. Then in early 2004, record stores in Western New York had finally started stocking copies of Bruce's band's sophomore album, "Makin' Noise." Finally, in September, at this years last edition of Buffalo, NY's summer concert series "Thursday At The Square," Klear - along with The Juliet Dagger and Last Conservative - gave one hell of a performance to celebrate the national release of the album. I am proud to be from these guys' hometown, and I know, with the help of Robbie Takac, Fred, Bruce, Denny, and Leo are going to break out of this "broken-ass town." This album shows us that this band is very diverse within their own style. They have a classic rock edge with a modern rock spin. "We ain't Linkin Park," Bruce once said to me. Well, if the band's first effort, "7500 Miles" (avalible on klearband.com) doesn't prove that sentiment enough, "Makin' Noise" drives the point home. Pick up this album today!

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Disc - Top to Bottom, September 30, 2004
This review is from: Makin Noise (Audio CD)
From the moment you pop this disc into your player, you know that you are in for a treat. With the grainy blues edge vocals of Fred Schaffer to the Allmanesque guitar playing of Bruce Wojick, this Robbie Takac (Goo Goo Dolls) backed band is a hit. Soon to be hits like Track 2 "Picture", Track 3 "All On Me" and Track 9 "Bridge" show the soulful sound of this band. Anthems abound with Track 7 "War" and Track 1 "Makin Noise", let you know that this Buffalo area band has all of the goods. Buy it and it will be a regular in you changer.
