apple cider making,

This review is from: Making the Best Apple Cider (Paperback)
The latest version of Annie Proulx's book on cider making is an improvement on the earlier editions and a good reference for persons interested in making their own cider. It covers cider making history and hard cider quite well. Sweet cider coverage has improved from earlier editions, but information is still scarce. Coverage of apple varietys suitable for cider making could be expanded. I would like to see more details on perserving sweet cider for long-term storage.

This book is outdated, especially regarding the information regarding brewing hard cider. I'm glad it was inexpensive, because it wasn't helpful for our cider-pressing, nor brewing.

This book is a great place to start for making cider. It is very short and to the point. It gives you the basics.
