More About the Author

Having spent more years than I wanted to, teaching Economics and Political Science, then English Literature, and finally Outdoor Adventure Education, I took the redundancy money and now wonder how I ever had time to go to work.

When I'm not sitting in front of the computer, I'm helping my other half in our beautiful Cornish garden, building the latest little boat in my workshop, sailing the previous one around our beautiful Cornish coast, or walking with our hooligan labradoodle on our beautiful Cornish moors.

In the past, I've produced a couple of 'how-to' books on Outdoor Adventure, published by David & Charles, contributed to 'Walkers' Britain' and 'Britain on Backroads' published by Penguin, as well as writing numerous articles for 'The Great Outdoors', 'Small Craft', 'Practical Boatowner', and 'Watercraft' magazines, but this is my first foray into fiction.
