I read the book during my senior year in high school and then referred to the book often during my first quarter in college. I followed the suggestions in the book, I organized my day and I found that I had enough time to study and also enough time to enjoy college life. Well, the results are in I earned a 4.0!

If you are headed for college, this is the pep talk you need! I read it in a single evening, and it got me pumped to do my best in college. It gives you lots of great tips on how to make the most out of college, but it's a quick and enjoyable read! You're investing a great deal of time and money into your college education; its important to get a good return on that investment. Making College Count shows you how. This book has all the good advice of a needed lecture, but it's got a light tone so you want to keep reading! Enjoy!

"Making College Count" is one of the best books I've read on the subject -- and I've read quite a few. The organization is well done and the advice inside is a surefire way to survive college and come out on top. It's realistic and very well researched. This book should be handed out at in high schools all over the US.

This book focuses on the small changes of attitude that you can take to become successful in college and in life after college. It is helpful for those who are already attending college as well as those who are thinking of going. A great overall book.

Making College Count is a terrific book for any college bound student. Patrick O'Brien shows students how to make the most of their college experience and use it to their advantage. The hints and suggestions motivate students to achieve success in school, in order to have success after college. High school prepares students for college academically. Making College Count prepares students for life in and beyond college.

This book is more then an enjoyable reading. It offers many helpful hints on how to make the most of your college education. From extracuraclur (unfortunatly it does not improve your spelling) activities to how to properly study this book has it all. As a college student myself I highly recommend this book to anyone from 11th graders to juniors in College. This book has everything you'll need to know, and then some.

I have read this book twice now, and will probably read it again. It motivates me so well. It gives you a sense of direction and provides you with the necessary steps to follow. If you are looking for the perfect graduation gift this is the one. This should be on every freshmen's must read list before going to college

This book shows you exactly what you can get out of college and how to go about getting the most out of it. It really makes you focus and think about making that major step into college. It is a very useful tool for any college student to have.

Pat O'Brien came to speak to my graduating senior class this year about the reality of college and how to make the best of it. I think it was a good thing to put the end in perspective first and make goals for yourself in order to make your path towards success even more efficient. His Winning Characteristics are not always easy to accomplish, but with discipline and hard work anyone can achieve them. Basic tips on studying, getting to know professors, extracurricular activites, and internships are helpful in envisioning your undergraduate years as challenging, but exciting experiences. Overall, O'Brien offers sufficient and real information that every college freshmen should know, and if he or she utilizes O'Briens advice they will be much more likely to be successful.
