This review is from: Making Desks and Bookcases: Techniques for Better Woodworking (The Workshop Companion) (Hardcover)
This is a book on woodworking methods, such as different joints, various types of cuts, etc. It describes pros and cons of these topics.

It is not a book filled with plans, although there are two projects given.

If you want detailed plans of several different projects look elsewhere.

If you want to learn about different woodworking techniques and how they apply specifically to desks and bookcases, you may find this book useful.
