you need knowledge of genetics to enjoy it, tried to follow the stages of development but it is almost just a laboratory note book

Unlike some of the more moneyed customers here on this site, I din't have the $23M to fork over so instead I borrowed that money (student loans). I bought it for both investment and for educational purposes (which justifies the student loans). The price then dropped two weeks later to nil and now I'm stuck with all these student loans. I found out that you can't declare bankruptcy to be released from student loans (unlike mortgage or business loans etc). I couldn't pay so the banks wrote my loans off at a loss and then sold them as low quality paper to slimier guys down the collection chain. The lowest are loan-sharks and ex-cons coming after me and bothering my family and loved ones (because I listed them as people that know me for over 5 years on the student loan application). I didn't know what the hell to do so I read this $23M book. Now I know all about how to make flys. But what the hell am I going to do with the loan sharks and ex-cons coming after me. Boo-hoo : (

Everyone at the Gilded Lilly Country Club (especially Blain and Buffy, grrr) thought that it was funny that I bought this book with my very last 23 million, but I myself will have the last laugh! Amongst the pressed flies (thoughtfully included by the author in the appendix section), I found a 40 million dollar bill! Who will be laughing when I deposit it at the bank tomorrow!
Cha-Ching!

At first I found this book to be well worth the $23 million I paid, plus $3.95 for shipping. The pages are made of exquisite paper, and the text is vibrant against the eggshell tint that holds the text so eloquently.

Then, I remembered, I'm an economist. And an economist must always remember not to value something for itself, but instead, for what one could receive at a similar cost.

Truly troubled by my emotions, I walked down the street, to my wise friend who lives in a mirrored home.

Inside his home, he told me to merely look at myself; from that, the truth would be clear.

It was at this point, looking in the mirror, that I remembered what truly changed my life. It was the shirt I was wearing. It was nothing but The Mountain Three Wolf Moon Short Sleeve Tee from amazon.com.

With the shirt listed at a sale price of $11.95, I asked myself, what would I prefer - the publication "making of a fly", or the chance to buy 1.94 million Three Wolf Moon Short Sleeve Tees, made by The Mountain?

Times were tough in America when I bought the shirts and distributed them to Wall Street. This was the time of our banking crisis. Since then, our economy has recovered. Some credit the bailout, but I think the answer is clear... the shirts led America to prosperity once again. No need to thank me, I merely did my part to help those who truly needed assistance. I don't regret trading this book for continued American economic prosperity, delivered by the 5.77 million wolves on the 1.94 million shirts I purchased during Americas darkest days.

If only I could afford another 1.94 million more shirts today... then I'd give them to BP, Exxon, Conocophilips and other oil companies, who are struggling to make ends meet while oil is priced at $110/bbl and motorists are paying a mere $4.12 per gallon of gas. But alas, even an economist can dream of a better tomorrow. And dream I will, in the shirt that truly changed America, and my life, for the better.

I have been working for years on my robotic cockroaches that I will soon use to take over my local government. The problem with using robotic cockroaches are how unrealistic they are. They do not run fast, they cant climb walls, and I can't use them to properly taint the city council's food.

Since I read this book, it has opened my eyes to an entirely new strategy: building and reprogramming biological units! How novel! Since I can build flies from scratch using genetics, I have tweaked Mr. Lawrence's recipe to alter behavior as well. Why have normal flies flying around when I can program them to think as a colony, and bring the entire plague! Brilliant!

If I can take over the city council, I know I can use the same strategy for bigger goals. I could take over a corporation in Seattle, for instance, or even stay in politics, and knock over a state government. Perhaps a small country in west Asia? The United States?! Wow! Thank you so much. This book was worth every penny.

Can't wait for the sequel!

This book enables you to assemble from the ground up your own fly. In the package, you get 2 flies. One is a whole and completed model so you can see the finished product. The parts to assemble your own fly are in their separate bags.
The step by step layout from the genetics up to the carapace are thorough and educational. I feel I can tackle that damned blinking VCR now!!
I thought it was a bit pricey but when I saw that it came with a DNA lab, ligase proteins and even a workbook regarding telomeres!
I am grateful the nucleotides were already assembled.

My eyes are killing me from squinting so much, though. Mounting the hairs on the legs was actually the hardest part.

A first i thought the book was a few dollars higher than what i wanted to spend.
Upon further discussion with my wife we thought ahhhh why not it has to be a good read at 26 million
With the fast shipping amazon offered it was a no brainer we bought this classic book and with all the info about flies
i decided to offer up another 20 million directly to the writer because his knowledge of flies was beyond what we expected and with our 20 million dollar donation we hope he can use this money and further due research on the development of the ant
as me and my wife read the book to completion we were able to develop a knife fly which has been able to fly and stab you in the neck at this point or cute little knife fly spunky has killed up to 32 people in a matter of minutes in closing we thank amazon for allowing such a great book to be sold on there website for the price it has truly made me and my wife so knowledgable of the fly we will be writing our own book called what we learned from spunky the fly and will be listed on amazon for a modest price of 4.5 million

I purchased this book as an investment property. I see my $1,234,349 investment has now paid off handsomely as the book value has topped $23 million. I can't decide if I should list this for sale or await further gains in value.

I am considering a purchase, seems like a fascinating topic however, I'm not very handy. For anyone who has purchased this does the fly come already assembled?
