A wonderful book.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Making Friends (Paperback)
This book has helped me in so many ways. I have read it many times and continue to reread sections that are relevant to what it happening in my life at certain times. Although there are many funny and exaggerated examples of human behaviour in the book that Matthews uses to illustrate his points, they add a touch of humour to the book and I often could see a piece of myself in them. This book has made me cry many times, but that is not bad. It is confronting to read the truth, to discover what we are doing wrong and to learn how easy it really is to achieve what we actually want, but it is worth it. I thoroughly recommend this book to everyone and applaud Andrew Matthews for his wonderful book.

Common Sense in a Concise, Easily Referenced Format,
By CrrRelg@aol.com (New Hampshire) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Making Friends (Paperback)
I want to recommend this book wholeheartedly. It is fun and easy to read, and will have your sides aching from laughing. But the laughter will not only be from the well-written, tongue-in-cheek humor - it will also be from relief. The relief will be that the everything presented in this book is very common-sensical and workable. Most of what Mr. Matthews has written here is no mystery - it's just that it may not have occurred to the reader. One revelation that had me slapping my forehead in realization is the notion that, when someone's angry or irate with you, facts don't help. Feelings do. Simple...? Yes. But this one little idea has already saved me from unknowingly escalating one really potentially volatile argument, and several smaller ones. This information is, literally, usable immediately. If you want to make more friends, or even if you'd like to improve the friendly (and even romantic) relationships you are already involved in, read this book. It is a compilation in plain language of everything about friendship that you've never been able to verbalize.

Friend? I've none until I read this book.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Making Friends (Paperback)
That is a true statement, for me at least. I was a lonely figure that everyone like to avoid. I don't know why as I feel my intention is pure & good. And the book tell me what is wrong start from the first chapter. I was deadly wrong in every chapter. Thank to Andrew for pointing it out clearly. Just feel like this book is written for me from the upper sky. This book really makes a lot of friends for me.
