This book is not only a great cookbook, but contains many interesting and funny ancedotes about life in the 60s in Spain as viewed by an American family of five. My mother wrote this cookbook over several years and I ate every bit of the testing. (I helped with some of the stories too, and my sister did the artwork.)

I was fortunate to be a guest in Hannah Shapiro's home during the time she was writing this lovely cookbook, and I was fortunate to sample many of the recipes as she was always creating and testing. The hospitality in the Shapiro home and the excellence of the meals she prepared made it very hard to leave.
