Book Description

November 4, 1999
You can tell a lot about a girl by the lists she makes. The most pressing items on Saskia's are the things she wants to achieve by age 30: curating a show of Young British Artists, turning down at least one marriage proposal and becoming a size 10. Trouble is, she is turning 30 in three weeks time.

5.0 out of 5 stars This one has made MY A-List!!!, June 21, 2011
This review is from: Making The A-List (Kindle Edition)
Honestly - I cannot see how anyone could not love this book! It's a girly delight - but without becoming saccharine - It's a very real and believable tale while at the same time remaining light-hearted and quirky. I love the heroine, Saskia and the list she makes to understand her life. I love the supporting cats too = even the bitches and bastards are both hilarious and totally believable and each new twist in the comedy of errors which is Saskia's life had me repeatedly spitting my cappuccino across cafe's in spasoms of laughter! I honestly cannot recommend this book highly enough!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Trying hard to like it, November 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Making the a-List Hb (Hardcover)
UGH! I bought this book for the Kindle and I am trying so hard to like it and I am only 9% (according to Kindle) in the book and I am struggling to continue. In the 9% that I have read the only thing I get is that the main character is Neurotic and babbles on and on about her issues. I am ready for the story to move on but I am not so sure I have the patience.

The other issue I have is that fact that the author seems to have an issue spelling out the word "very". Every time it is used it's presented as a v. and I find that V. annoying and lazy. Come on, really?

Like I said, I am not sure I will finish the book but if I do, I will update my review.
