I have the Slice and I absolutley LOVE it, therefore I had to respond to the one poor review this item has. I will admit the Slice does take a little practice to get used to it. Spend a couple hours learning the machine, and all will work out fine. If there are problems, such as the previous reviewer had, there are things to try to eliminate those problems: make sure paper is adhered correctly, make sure blade does not need tightening or loosening, make sure to "home" the blade, calibrate the machine. If none of these work, contact Making Memories customer service. They are the BEST CS I have ever come across. They respond quickly, if you need to return something they send back also VERY quickly (I mean sometimes less than a week!), and they ALWAYS include extra items as a freebie, just for your troubles! One time I contacted them just to ask where I could purchase new blades (which my daughter ruined!) for my MM paper cutter. They responded by sending me an ENTIRELY NEW paper cutter, a tote bag, paper and embellishements! I feel this company goes well above and beyond what one could expect.

My sister purchased the Slice Cutting Machine, and I was the one reading and following the directions on how to use it, well my opinion is I would NEVER buy this product and I don't recommend anyone purchasing it. It's to bad because the items you could cut and the many cartridges available were awesome. When you first start cutting the selections out they cut really well, then after the 6th or more cut it will only cut part of the design out and the machine starts making weird noises, and the cutting sucks. And yes I changed the blade 3 times in one cutting session and that didn't matter. Upon my review my sister has sent this product back and will hopefully b getting a refund. What stinks even more is I purchased a cartridge for it and my sister purchased 25-30 extra blades,to discover the machine isn't worth it and we lost that amount of money. With the high cost of this product it should have worked alot better than it did, and this was the second machine, because the first one acted the same way, and we sent it back and got this replacement, and then to have it do the same thing really shows it doesn't live up to it's name. I would love to hear if other people have had the same problems???
