Making Monoprints with gelatin plates is the most versatile and easy way to go. I can print on paper, fabric, whatever and have limitless ways to change the effects desired. I love it and have shared it with many artists in all mediums--paper, acrylics, oils and fabric. A necessary book on my art shelf--

Gelatin Plates are awful,
By Jo Tyler (Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Making Monotypes Using a Gelatin Plate: Printmaking Without a Press (Paperback)
Making art on plates formed from the boiled down body parts of slaughtered animals is a gruesome and depressing proposition. Use plexiglas plates, glass, clay or coated paper plates instead. Better karma = better art. :-)
