5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Educators, March 31, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Making Sense of Art: Sensory-Based Art Activities for Children with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Spiral-bound)
As an autistic support teacher, I have found this book to be an excellent resource and an integral resource when planning lessons. It provides objectives, adaptions, extension activities, and explanations of sensory benefits. In addition, the materials required for these activities are common objects that are very easily obtained. This book is a must have for anyone working to help individuals with autism achieve success.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful resource., September 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Making Sense of Art: Sensory-Based Art Activities for Children with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Spiral-bound)
Each activity is headlined with which senses the activity is meant to stimulate, which is helpful in writing lesson plans, etc. I did not find the ideas especially novel, but it is a good collection altogether.

This review is from: Making Sense of Art: Sensory-Based Art Activities for Children with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Spiral-bound)
I bought this book hoping to find activities to do with my child at home. I ended up giving it to his classroom teacher. Its good, but its better suited for a teacher who wants to do some art activities in the classroom.
