Basically an advertisement for her seminars,

This review is from: Making Sense of Men: A Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Love, Care and Attention from All Men (Paperback)
I was shocked when I saw how short the book was. There's a little over 60 pages of the actual book and it is in BIG print with a BIG space between each paragraph and BIG sidenotes. I literally read the whole thing in about 2 hours. The book is basically a teaser for her seminars, it gives you enough to want to know more but not enough to really make any huge changes. Unfortunately, the seminars are about five hundred dollars so out of reach finacially for a lot of people. If the author would put all the information from her seminars into a "real" book it could help a lot of people. Other self-help books are much less expensive and have much more content. I feel ripped off. Do not buy.

I was disappointed with this small book. I have listened to Allison's tapes and truly enjoyed and gotten alot out of them. This book seemed like it was written to get people to take her seminars. I was looking for much more depth and insight from this author...which I believe she has.

Disappointing Read,

I love the In Sync With the Opposite Sex CD's. So, I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, it fell far short. The book is expensive for only being 70 pages long and in big, big print. There is just not much substance to the book. It's an ad for her seminars. She mentions wonderful things like - there are ways to motivate men to change without criticizing them and then leaves us hanging with no explanation of how to do that. She describes what attracts men, but gives no substantive explanations of how to attain that. Save your money.

I agree with a number of reviewers that this is a booklet (worth about $3.50 and not even the cost of shipping). I feel ripped off. I paid how much for this? $26 inlcuding shipping? oh my, what a sucker! How did I not read the reviews before ordering, I do not know. And I do regret that. This is the first review I have ever written - on anything - and I am doing so now because I feel I owed it to my fellow readers out there.Shame on you Alison Armstrong for providing half of a product at five times it's worth. You may have some interesting ideas but I certainly didn't get them out of THIS booklet. How disappointing.

I agree with the other reviewers that this basically is an advertisement for her seminars, and more like an extended pamphlet than a book. Just a tease that she gets you, the buyer, to pay way too much money for. Let this be a warning to all sensible folk out there not to waste your money or your time. It's so bad it's insulting. I would recommend Deborah Tannen's or Harville Hendrix' books instead; these two authors have written real books, very helpful and insightful, and you get the sense that these two authors (as opposed to this book's author) really want to share their expertise with you and give you something of value.

Insightful Information but only Part 1,

This review is from: Making Sense of Men: A Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Love, Care and Attention from All Men (Paperback)
I was suprised by the size or small content of the book. But with my busy schedule reading it in one sitting can be a plus! Alison's interviews got me really excited about getting the book, I even went to several book stores first so I didn't have to wait, but ended up ordering and waiting. After reading the book I thought it was a big teaser for her seminars. It did have some eye opening and useful information, but left me feeling "short sheeted". If she had covered the best way to tell men what we need and learn the Men-glish she makes reference to in the book it would have left me satified. This dissatified feeling is lasting for days after the read. It's like watching a movie and only getting to see part 1 and you have to wait (how long?) for part 2. Don't know that I would register for seminars but would love to get my hands on Part 2.

Finally, Simple Truth that was easy to Prove,

I want to share how wonderful I think this book is because it touched my life on so many levels. It is written as a delightful fictional story however it is filled with, what I've tested and proved, to be useful facts. I've never encountered a point of view that is so honoring to men. It has changed my life and the life of those around me in the most positive way. Because of the information in here, both men and women have been able to relax and be more patient and loving with themselves, and each other, after absorbing the information in this little book. However I'd say it is predominately written to women readers.I see reviews that say the book is an add for her seminars, it isn't. It stands alone if you want to stop there. I've been reading self help/relationship books for more than 25 years; this is by far my FAVORITE! I wish I had it to read 37 years ago, how my life would have been so much happier. I encourage everyone to take the time to enjoy this easy and very informative read.

This review is from: Making Sense of Men: A Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Love, Care and Attention from All Men (Paperback)
This book has unlocked so many untold mysteries enshrouded around men. It has greatly improved not only my understanding of them but also how I can better communicate and interact with them. What a gem this has been in my own personal relationships with my husband, father, brother, co-workers and students. I HIGHLY recommend this book to both men and women alike.

Getting the Love & Affection I Need From Men Has Never Been Easier!,
This review is from: Making Sense of Men: A Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Love, Care and Attention from All Men (Paperback)
If you have ever been frustrated or confused by men, read this book! Before learning the information in this book I felt hopeless about my relationships with men. After reading this book and learning about how men respond to women I realized that I can inspire the behavior that I want and need from men. If this book can help me it can help anyone. It is a funny, quick-read that's filled with useful insights and information. Alison Armstrong has cracked the code and figured men out. If you have teenage daughters please consider allowing them to read this book. They will learn about the kind of attraction that gets men's attention vs. the kind that gets their affection. Having this information could save them years of heartache and instead create an opportunity for them to have fulfilling, satisfying relationships with men for the rest of their lives. This is essential reading for all women. Enjoy! Making Sense of Men: A Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Love, Care and Attention from All Men

My title pretty much says it all. This book really hits right on the head difficulties between men and women ... with total accuracy on key topics and solutions. Without repetitive advice, the points are made clear and precise. Following the author's suggestions will accomplish much for women in all relationships as it has for me (and I am married). Only small issue I had with this short book was boxed promotions of the author's programs.
