Book Description

Designed for use in the classroom or at home, Making Things Right, Revised helps children prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Ideas and activities engage children and reinforce lessons presented by a parent or catechist. Consistent with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Making Things Right, Revised includes material at the end of the book to enrich the faith of the parent and catechist and to help them prepare each lesson. The Parent/Catechist Guide gives an overview of each section, explains the focus of each page, and suggests ways to integrate the ideas presented into the children s own faith and life. Author: Jeannine Timko Leichner Grade: 2 Publisher: Our Sunday Visitor Pages: 70 Pages, Softcover ISBN: 9781592761579

This review is from: Making Things Right: The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Paperback)
I bought this to use with my 2nd grade CCD class, but I'm afraid it may be a bit too advanced for them. It's not something I can read during a classtime. It will probably be a good resource to give me the right language to reach the children on various different subjects. However, I think it is more suitable for children over 8 years old, even though the back cover states it is recommended for ages 8-12. Or maybe as a good reader for a child with his/her parents.

I do like that it has a Study Guide in the back with questions for each chapter to prompt further discussion with children.
