This mod band rocks,

Do you like the Who? Then you will love the Creation. Incredible English mod band from the 60's, they sung the lead track on the movie Rushmore ("Making Time") possibly the coolest rock song I have ever heard. The entire album is wonderful, except for the U.S. version of "How Does It Feel to Feel" (UK version is much better). The Creation is so good it is truly a mystery that they never hit it big. Wonderful stuff.

Too Bad They Didn't Get Along,

These guys were great and Eddie Phillips is a highly under-rated guitarist who influenced Pete Townshend and Jimmy Page. If you like Shel Talmy's prodution on early Who songs, you will love this CD. After Eddie Phillips left the band, he was replaced by Ron Wood who shows up on Vol. 2.

An absolutely perfect anthology. Lots of first-time stereo....great sound and plenty of information. Get this and Volume 2 "Biff Bang Pow" before it's too late.
