Excellent Introduction to all kinds of recording skills,

This book is not only very modern and up-to-date, but it covers all the important aspects of recording that anyone attempting to make a demo needs to know. It discusses different types of microphones, as well as mic placement, mixing skills, home-studio products, and how to set up a perfectly acoustic studio. A great over-all book.
