WOW!,
By Mirage08 (VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
First of all the book was H-O-T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will need a bucket of ice water for this one. Outside of all the hotness in the book this was a very tender story. Each character had their own issues to deal with before they could have a relationship. I found this refreshing b/c is some books authors try to make their characters seem perfect with no flaws/they have it all together. Also the book had it's funny moments as well. The one part that got me was when Jamel kept telling Kat "I need you" phewwww! I almost fell out..lol. I really enjoyed this book. If you have not read her story in Chocolate Kisses go ahead and pick that one up along with this one. Renee Luke is on my list of authors were I don't need to read a review/comments. I just buy the book!

This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
After reading the first 6 pages of this book, I knew it was going to be a late night of reading.
This book has a plot that keeps you turning the pages. The details of the writing and the descriptions make you want to visit the bar and do some of the forbidden things the characters are doing. Not only does this book have steam, but it has a tender love story that makes you feel good when you finish the last page. Believe me.........you'll still be thinking about "Making Him Want It" when you finish. Renee Luke writes hot, detailed & imaginative sex scenes that will make you want to text message your partner. This author has a new fan that will buy ANYTHING that has her name on it. CONGRATULATIONS RENEE & CONTINUED SUCCESS!!

A Titillating twist on Boy Meets Girl,
By Emanuel Carpenter... Author/Reviewer (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
In "Making Him Want It," erotica writer Kit finds that she's fresh out of material to submit to her literary agent. Instead of relying on the visual props she keeps at home to break her out of her slump (professionally and sexually), she decides to get some firsthand experience to break free. She later meets a tall, dark and handsome (not to mention well-endowed) stranger at a night spot and after sizing him up decides a one-night stand with him should awaken her inner-freak and get her a bit of satisfaction for herself. Little does she know, the stranger is her literary agent Jamal, whom she has never set eyes on before. That is, until now.
"Making Him Want It" is a titillating twist on the boy meets girl routine with enough sensuality in it to make you wish you had a lover on the spot to experience it (or experiment) with. Renee Luke is a mighty fine writer who paints a masterful picture with exquisite detail. Something tells me that Luke is a pen name for a literary great who may be using the erotica market to pay the bills. Though this novel is a bit predictable, it still causes me to yearn for more of her work, especially with a little more substance. This book is muy caliente and perfect for the Zane crowd. Scorching!!!!,
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Kat Mason(a.k.a. Glory Cockin) is a star erotica writer whose sexy stories have heated up the pages of popular men's magazines. But deep down she is shy and reclusive. So reclusive that she's never met her literary agent Jamal face to face. Kat has various costumes and toys in her home to give her inspiration. But now she's run out of material and needs new experiences to draw from. When she enters the sexy nightclub The Night Kitty dressed in body hugging lingerie, she feasts her eyes on Jamal James for a night of pleasure. Jamal is a successful literary agent that is tired of endless booty calls. He's looking for something more than the sexual fantasy stories by his client Kat Mason. Jamal would love to act out every one of her sexy tales with her skin to skin. Jamal enters The Night Kitty and discovers just the right sexy seductress to wet his appetite. The problem is, he doesn't know that this beautiful stranger is his star client Kat Mason. What will happen if they find out the truth about each other?
Making Him Want It is a scorching, sexy debut by Renee Luke. Luke did an excellent job in painting an alluring picture with the storyline and the characters. The sex scenes are so hot and realistic that you better have your lover close by to blow off some steam after reading this! Kat and Jamal's escapades will make you want to try them yourself. The Night Kitty will make you wonder if this club really exists. I liked how this author kept the story moving by diving into the plot of this story right away from the first page. Making Him Want It is a seductive, erotic journey that will leave readers wonderfully sated . This an explosive start to Renee Luke's writing career.

HOT & HEART,

This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
I've been reading all the Aphrodisia releases since January and Renee Lukes Making Him Want It blows all the rest right off the playing field. The story is so great and the writing out shines the rest of what I've read.
When you read about the Night Kitty it makes you want to go there and find a man as hot as Jamal. Jamal and Kats relationship is awesome and they have sparks and chemistry from the second they meet. Renee Luke does such a wonderful job with emotion, you can really feel Jamals struggle to keep the secret and Kats guilt. Renee Luke has found a fan for life. I highly recommend Making Him Want It. Wortth every penny and a keeper.

Making Him Want It,
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
After three years of writing numerous, successful, weekly erotic stories for a popular men's magazine under the pen name of Gloria Cockin, Kat Mason has finally hit the
infamous writer's block. Kat decides to look for some inspirational research at a popular night club where no one knows her. Dressed in one of her sexiest, most provocative outfits, Kat nervously enters The Night Kitty determined to overcome her current rundown situation. Lo' and behold, Kat meets the perfect man who is not only able to assist her in overcoming her writer's block; he is also able to satisfy all the sexual desires she has only romanticized about through her writings. For the past three years, Jamal James has sexually fantasized everyway imaginable about his superstar writer, Kat Mason. Each week she unbeknownst seduces him with her writings and their email conversations. Not really in the mood for yet another one-night bed partner but feeling very sexual frustrated, Jamal allows one of his co-workers to talk him into going to The Night Kitty to relieve some of his tension. Here Jamal finds a very sexy Kitty who wants to fulfill each of his sexual desires in everyway possible. The only catch is that he must keep things simple by remaining nameless during their little mischievous escapade. Jamal is all game until he receives Kat's latest column installment and reads that it greatly resembles his previous night with the nameless sexy Kitty. Could it be that his nameless Kitty is one and the same as the somewhat shy Kat Mason? Warning! Making Him Want It is H-O-T! From start to finish Making Him Want It is filled with wicked, naughty, extremely erotic indulgences. Jamal and Kat's sexual interludes will definitely get your juices flowing and have you quickly turning on your fan for a cool down. Each passionate episode between the couple was scorching, spine-tingling and orgasmic in nature. Both Jamal and Kat had personal issues to deal with which only made Making Him Want It more intriguing and spicier. Kat was able to use her alter ego (Gloria Cockin) in order to blossom into much more secure woman; while, Jamal struggled internally with doing the right thing versus having what he wanted. I truly enjoyed this reading Making Him Want It. If you hunger for a down-right dirty, lustful, romantic story; then Making Him Want It is just the book to completely satisfy your appetite. Meeow!,
By Louise (Chicago - I'm back home FINALLY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
As a sexy short story writer and a relationship columnist, Ms. Kat Mason has hidden behind her erotic stories and has remained a recluse for majority of her life. After finally needing some raw material for her upcoming deadline, Kat must go on the prowl and unleash the wild feline that has been tamed for so long.
Jamal has been Kat's agent for three years and cannot believe he has yet to meet the seductress that he has had lustful dreams about. Jamal cannot take the constant hurt of his late night dreams and goes on a quest with his doggish friend, Kent, to watch the ladies of the night at a neighborhood bar, the Night Kitty. As Kat sets her sights at the Night Kitty, she cannot believe her luck as she sets her paws on a man that could possibly end her writer's block and tame her kitten like itch at the same time. Making Him Want It is full of erotic pleasures and a background storyline. I enjoyed the thought of the two "nameless" people, but after a while I just want them to find out who each person was and get it over with. If you like erotica without the dirtiness that we can sometimes come across when reading erotic novels, then this Making Him Want It is just the pleasure for you.

Will the Real Kat Please Stand Up?,
By OOSA Online Book Club "O.O.S.A. Gets It Read!" (World Wide Web, USA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
No one would suspect that shy and reserved Kat Mason is Glory Cockin, erotica writer extraordinaire. Penning sexy tales, she's every man's fantasy. Kat prefers to keep both lives very separate and secretive. Not even her literary agent, Jamal James, has met the woman behind the heat, though they correspond regularly. Desperately in need of inspiration for an impeding deadline, Kat intertwines both worlds for a night out of "research" and Kat unleashes Kitty.
Jamal James looks forward to his conversations with his favorite client, Kat Mason. She appears to be so humble and innocent; it's hard to believe she is the author of such provocative and highly stimulating material. One evening after work, Jamal agrees to go out with a co-worker for a few drinks. Here kitty kitty. After reading her short story "Chocolate Kisses" in the anthology by the same title, Renee was an author that I wanted to read more from and with the release of her debut novel, I knew it was a must read. I won't say that I was disappointed, but it's not what I expected. This full length novel did not possess the same impact and charm of her short story. I wanted more substance to balance out the hot sex scenes. Nevertheless, Making Him Want It is a steamy and tantalizing read. Lovers of erotica will enjoy. Reviewed by: Toni 3.5 stars

(RAW Rating: 4.5) - A sexy, erotic read...,

This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Jamal is a successful literary agent and his most famous client, he's never met. Because of her secrecy and reservations against making her identity known, they have handled all business via telephone and email. Jamal has never met her, but their conversations and her actual writing builds a strong desire within him -- one inappropriate for an agent to have with his star client. And though he's single and uninterested in bar-hopping, he lets a co-worker talk him into a night on the town.
Running out of new ideas for her erotic stories, as well as inspiration from her "props", shy, introvert, no-sex-getting Kat dons a sexy outfit and sets out on a mission. In order to meet her approaching deadline, she decides to visit a local bar in order to get her juices flowing again -- figuratively and literally. While there she meets the perfect man -- who takes her up on what she's offering, giving her what she needs both sexually and creatively to write a series of stories centered around their rendezvous. Yet, she keeps it simple -- no names and no kissing. Unbeknownst to either of them, the handsome stranger who sexed her up, is actually Jamal. MAKING HIM WANT IT is a sexy, erotic read, with a romantic backdrop. I appreciated seeing the two sides of Kat as she emerged into a more secure woman, by using her fantasy-self to make the leap from her shy, reserved self. And I enjoyed Jamal's inner struggle with himself, and doing what was right versus holding onto what he wanted, sacrificing himself personally and professionally. Though predictable in spots, and wanting to move the characters forward faster than the scenes called for, I enjoyed MAKING HIM WANT IT. For one, it was truly erotic and passionate, unlike other books I've read which were identified/placed in this genre. Two, the characters were well-developed and the writing was strong and fluid, leading me to believe Renee Luke is a pen name for an established author. Either way, I look forward to future reads. tantalizing erotic romance,
This review is from: Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Ever since he represented erotic author Kat Mason, a writer he never met, Jamal James dreams of meeting and making love with her. A by-product of his erotic dreams is that he finds being a player tedious. To provide him something to keep his head off of Kat, he goes to the Night Kitty, a club where anything just about happens.
Author Kat Mason is in real life shy and reserved. However, she needs fresh ideas so she screws up her courage and goes to the Night Kitty to find new material for her next story. At the club Kat and Jamal see each other across a crowded room and the attraction could ignite a fire. As they come together each feels the inferno heat their insides. Both cannot keep their hands off the other, but neither realize they have a professional relationship that could be jeopardized by this torrid encounter or is it the start of a long term private relationship too? Kat and Jamal seem so right for each other from the moment they see one another for the first time at the Night Kitty club though both assume (rightfully so) that they are there for a sexual encounter. The story line starring two delightful protagonists in passionate heat from start to finish. Erotic romance readers will obtain enormous gratification from this tantalizing tale. Harriet Klausner |
