This review is from: Makita 14-Inch 12-AMP Electric Chain Saw UC3500 (Lawn & Patio)
This is the second Makita chainsaw I have owned ( the first I have had for 12 years). The uc 3500 has better balance and is ligher making it less tiring to use for long peroids of time. I use the saw mostly to cut firewood for my shop It has less torque than the older saw but is more than adquate for most job.

This chainsaw is an excellent product. We reduced a 70ft iron wood tree to a 15 ft ironwood tree in one afternoon - all the tidy up done. We replaced a poulan 2-cycle chainsaw and the difference is marked. This one is light, easy to use and the only time the chain jumped off was when it was pinched awkwardly by a branch moving in an unanticipated way. We are very happy.

So much easier to use than gas powered saw. Less noise, no exhaust fumes, no pull cord, no choke, no trip to the gas station for fuel. For all the sawing you can do within range of an extension chord this saw is teriffic.
