1.0 out of 5 stars $10 for a Quart of Oil, January 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Makita 181119-A Commercial Grade 1-Quart Chain Saw Bar Oil (Lawn & Patio)
If you read the Makita chain saw manuals (e.g. UC3500, UC3530A) they actually say to use their BIOTOP chain oil (but try finding that). The manuals offer NO OTHER equivalent. Since Makita also sells this "Commercial Grade" oil, one must assume that it's okay to use in their chain saws, too.

But at over $10 per quart, you're locked into paying through the nose, for the life of the saw.

Ridiculous.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Makita 181119-A Commercial Grade 1-Quart Chain Saw Bar Oil (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this to use with my Black & Decker LP1000 Alligator Lopper 4.5 amp Electric Chain Saw. My Alligator Lopper works well with it. Haven't had any issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have for Makita's Electric Saw, August 17, 2009

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Makita 181119-A Commercial Grade 1-Quart Chain Saw Bar Oil (Lawn & Patio)
I recently purchased Makita's Electric saw (on Amazon), and the saw came with a tiny bottle of this oil which would run out shortly once you start using the tool. The nearby hardware store did not carry this brand so I bought it on Amazon. You need this oil to operate the tool - I should have bought this along with the saw.
