Great Saw,

This review is from: Makita 4190D 3-3/8-Inch Cordless Tile/Glass Saw (Tools & Home Improvement)
My Dad bought this saw about 5 years ago. I'm not sure how much tile we have cut with it but we have used it on about 25 different homes. It works great and we have no complaints. Now if you are doing more then 1,000 sq. feet of tile at a time you might want to use a corded tile cutter. But anything less then that and you should be very happy with this cutter. The nice thing about this cutter is how small it is. If you are tiling in a bathroom you can do all your cuts without having to leave the area. Just have a bucket that you can cut over to catch the water. Which brings me to a very important point. Always use water. We loaned it to a friend who is very hard on equipment. Apparently he didn't always use water and when he gave it back to us the blade was completely smooth! Keep in mind we had used the same blade for 4 years until he borrowed it. Yes, we were not happy. A new blade is about $... so this hurt. I like the cutter so much I bought one just to have it. Yes I love tools! One other recommendation is that you might want to invest in the new Ni-MH batteries for extended run time.

If you work on shop or house most of time, then table saw would be better choice. But this tool offer usability that other saw can duplicate.

This product would be great if it wasnt cordless. It has only enough juice to cut 3 or 4 tiles then it has to be recharged for an hour. Not recommended.
