This saw works and feels better than the 5090D (9.6v). The saw base is sturdier and better thought out. "Tool-less" adjustment of blade height and angle. Comes with good carbide blade. Cuts 1x easily. Has slot for rip fence.

I got this saw 5 years ago free with a 12V drill. I'm a remodelling contractor and I saw through everything with it: drywall, hardwood floors, trim, nails.
One of the drive gears just gave out, so I'm getting a replacement part for [money amount] from makita. I can't say enough about this time saving saw. The small diameter of the blade allows me to trim precisely in tight places were no other saw can go.

Amazon ships this without a battery. The ad doesn't mention this. Watch out, you will end up buying a battery and charger in addition to the costs shown above!!!

I've used this saw before. It's very handy for jobs that a larger saw is inconvenient. It stands up pretty well to abuse. The batteries last a reasonable time before requiring a recharge.

However, Amazon's product description does not tell you that it does not come with a battery or a charger. Since I already have both, it's not a big deal for me. I'm sure that a first timer would be pretty disappointed.

I sent the saw back to you , I am waiting for my refund!!! Please let me know whats going on . Thank you.
