Still plugging along,

This review is from: Makita 6407 3/8-Inch Variable Speed Reversible Drill (Tools & Home Improvement)
I am actually surprised to see this drill still being sold as new from Makita. I have had mine for 10 years and I bought it refurbished for $40.This drill has been used quite a bit. I use it when working on cars and have done a deck with it. The motor is very solid and has enough power for almost everything I've attempted. The reverse switch is in a very convenient location and makes one-handed use easier. The button is well-built and progressive and doesn't have much wobble like cheaper drills. It has what I believe to be a belt hook on the top, but I've never used it so I'm not sure about that. My only complaint would be that the drill tends to keep spinning for quite a bit after you've released the button. This can make it more difficult if you've slipped off of your target, to get started again. I believe most newer drill have some kind of mechanism to prevent this. Overall this is a great drill, it is very solid and well-built and even the motor sounds pretty cool.
