Purchased this bag for my Makita 6 1/2" circular saw, batteries, blades and accessories. Perfect size for the job and made of very tough material. This bag fits into my objective of having either tool boxes or tool bags for my tools to protect them and make it easy to bring the right tools to the job site. Also, the color makes it very easy to find and finally, it's a Makita tool bag for a Makita tool. Price was right as well.

Makita tool bags are made of heavy material and are very durable. I use them to hold Makita power tools which makes them easy to store and transport. Item was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Completely satisfied with the purchase.

I was looking for a bag to store and carry my cordless Makita hammer drill, impact driver, and flashlight, along with extra batteries, the battery charger, and various bits. I tend to use all of those items together on projects, and it would useful to carry them in the same bag. I am glad that I ordered the 16" rather than the 12", but even the 16" isn't quite roomy enough for my needs.

What I can fit in it is: the drill/driver (with battery attached); the impact driver (with battery attached); a pair of safety glasses in their case; several 12" long loose impact drill bits; andthree sets of bits (a 29-piece set of standard drill bits in a metal case, a 14-piece set of spade-type wood bits in a fabric wallet, and a set of driver bits in a plastic case). I then just barely have room for either the flashlight or the recharger, but not both. A couple of 1.5 amp compact Lithium-Ion batteries fit (just barely) in the exterior pockets - I don't honestly know if the larger 3 amp LXT batteries would. The interior does not have dividers - there is just one main compartment. There are a series of pockets lining the interior, but they are pretty small - I use a couple of them to secure the drill and driver by inserting their noses into the pockets. Like the exterior pockets, they would be wide enough to carry some needle-nose pliers or screwdrivers, as shown in the illustration, but are not large enough for drill-related accessories like bit sets. I seriously wonder if I should have bought the next larger size, which is 24", but that just seemed like it would be too big.

On the plus side, the bag seems sturdy and well-made. It is not just a cloth duffel bag, like it might appear in the illustration, but is fairly heavily padded to protect the contents. The top seems to have some sort of frame in it because when it is unzipped, it opens nice and wide and stays open fairly well. The shoulder strap is padded and comfortable. And it is nice looking, in the distinctive Makita turquoise color.

It was hard to settle on a star rating for this item - it is not as large as the description makes it sound and it doesn't quite meet my needs, but it does seem like a good, well-made product for what it is. If you just wanted to store a driver OR a drill, this bag would be perfect, with room for the charger, extra batteries, and all sorts of bits, and a few favorite hand tools as well. So for someone needing a bag this size, I would give it 5 stars.

This bag is well made and has lots of storage. The shoulder strap stays in place and is comfortable. I like it because it seems to be the right size for my needs.
