Best all around multi-purpose gloves I have ever purchased. Provided me with excellent dexterity and protection. The super duty workhorse of gloves. I have tried them all and nothing compared this glove. If you going to spend the money why not buy the best. Another premium product by Makita Power Tools.

Don't handle wood without a pair. Aside from avoiding countless slivers and the ability to guide wood through machinery without slipping, I attest to having all fingers accounted for when such would not be the case had I not been wearing these gloves. Fingers are worth more than the price!!!

In a momentary lapse of sanity I decided to ignore my better judgement and cut a too small piece of oak using my table saw rather than the band saw. The rest was history in a flash. The blade back grabbed the piece and slammed it down on my fingers with a 3hp force that shattered the hardwood. I was almost afraid to look into the glove but amazingly Not Even a Bruise! I now own 3 pairs. BTW, the XL fits me like a normal Large.

I realize that I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth but -The gloves were included in my order for a chainsaw (over $100), but they are available in XL only. Something a little smaller would be useful. I don't feel safe wearing these monsters.

Makita 845017-A MFORCE2 Heavy Duty Gloves. The fit is good, snug, comfortable, doesn't shift, good grip on most materials and the protection from slivers, either metal or wood and cuts and nicks is tremendous. BUT:::::: As any fabricator; cabinetmaker, metalworker, welder, machinist, etc. etc. KNOWS!!! Loose and dangly things on hands or body equal MISSING BODY PARTS. The Velcro wrist strap, although provides nice secure feel to hold the glove on, the strap is much to bulky which makes it easy to get caught on things when pulling a hand towards you no matter what your doing. The motorcylcle looking plastic padding and multi-layered materials on the finger tips and backs of fingers look really rad man, but the glove has to many different contours on it caused by all this fluff, so the glove reacts differently in almost every situation. And againe pulling your hand towards you in tight corners nearly always means a different aspect of this glove will get hung up, or catch or almost catch and get hungup all the time. When they start wearing out(TO SOON)little pieces of material start sticking up, DANGEROUS, cut them off or glue them down immediatly. The inside of both index fingers in the seam both came apart about the same time. This needs reinforced. I wish the gloves were streamlined and extra safety concerns fixed NOW!!! Then I might buy a pair again. But NO, I will not. I am shopping for a good quality, safe work glove for working with everyday furniture and cabinet making. When I find what I think is the best choice after doing some serious shopping the next few weeks, I will post my findings. To bad these gloves didn't work out, man they were comfy... But dangerous hazards BEWARE. I can't be serious enough about this. I am very surprised that Makita has not had liability problems because of the accidents waiting to happen with these gloves. All of the kool fluff stuff is a hazard when new, and when they start wearing, the things that start coming loose on them if not very carefully monitored are SERIOUS injury risks. Drill bits spinning, screw guns screwing, saw blades turning have nothing against catching on those type of things at the most in-opportune time.. I give it one star because of the grip and protection form slivers and miscellenous small cuts. 4 star deduction for flimsy quality and dangerous aspects of design.

These gloves seem to work fine but are a bit long in the fingers for me. It would be nice to have a smaller size.

I work with wood and metal and usually use leather gloves, but this time I was wearing Makita MFORCE2 gloves. I had just cut a piece of angle iron with my bandsaw and was smoothing the edge on my bench grinder. The metal got hot and melted the glove, which burned the s**t out of my finger. Worse, I couldn't get the glove off very fast because of the velcro strap. For a glove that costs almost ten times as much as leather, I think they are pretty worthless.p.s. don't try welding with them.

Normally a person who eschews gloves, I am delighted with these. The Ironclad gloves I used before died swiftly, while these are still going strong. Easy to use with small objects and easy on and off, and very comfortable. I highly recommend these gloves.
