The BDA350 features a Makita-built four-pole maximum torque motor that delivers 121 inch-pounds of max torque. The BDA350 has an all-metal transmission that delivers 0-1,800 RPM for a wide range of drilling and driving tasks into steel and wood.

Ergonomic Design in a Compact Size
The BDA350 weighs just 3.5 pounds with more than one foot of tool extension for extra reach into tough to reach spaces. The tool has a 3/8-inch keyed metal chuck for improved bit gripping power. In addition, the keyed chuck allowed engineers to reduce the size of the angle drill head to a very compact height of 2-5/8 inches, making it ideal for use in close-quarters applications. The BDA350 is equipped with a soft grip handle and conveniently located paddle switch for comfortable operation. The built-in LED light illuminates the work surface for more efficient work.

About Makita's 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Tool Series
As one of the pioneers driving the cordless-tool revolution, Makita changed the game with its breakthrough 18V LXT lithium-ion cordless series. Awesome power without sacrificing speed. Last a very long time per charge. Feels and looks very solid. It would be nice to have a keyless chuck but after owning a Dewalt with a keyless I know why it is not an option. The keyless chucks are larger and are difficult to tighten in a compact right angle drill configuration.

This Makita BDA 350 Right Angle Drill with the Lithium Ion Battery is just Dandy! I am pleased also with my overall transaction and prompt shipping. I would recommend this tool for those that require a cordless right angle drill due to it's nominal weight and High Torque capability. Need I mention that it has a wonderful LED light as well? I am impressed!

I would give this a five star if it had all the features I needed!
This came with a hard plastic case which I prefer and not the bag show on the picture.
I was debating to buy this Makita or the Dewalt but I had a Dewalt which failed on me because it had plastic parts, so I got this Makita which I had to sacrifice for the variable speed and keyless chuck. Here are the pros/cons with Makita.

Pros:
- compact
- light weight
- powerful

Cons:
- missing keyless chuck (I had to buy it seperate to add it on)
- missing variable speed (this would be nice to have)
