Makita impact with automotive charger-fantastic!!,

I had bought the set with drill/impact driver/sawzall/light about 3 years ago and absolutely love it. I was going to Haiti and needed an impact driver to install screws in metal roofing that could be charged with other than 110vac power, which the village we were working in didn't have. This set worked great. We used a 50w solar panel to charge a 12v car battery. We hooked the Makita charger to the battery via a cord of alligator clips with a female cigarette lighter socket. It charged a battery in about an hour. We also were able to use the charger in the vehicle on trips to town. The charger was a little finicky about being too hot from sitting in the sun (would turn itself off. Keeping it shaded cured that. The impact driver worked spectacularly which I had expected. The set is a bit expensive ( I had purchased the 4 tool set for the same price I paid for this set) but it was necessary for the task at hand.
