5.0 out of 5 stars good job, September 4, 2011

This review is from: Makita HM1810X3 70 Lb. AVT Breaker Hammer (Tools & Home Improvement)
This hammer has been very useful for the project that I'm doing (breaking out a rockwall footing. It weighs about 90 lbs. so it isn't easy to lift, but that's what's needed to break rock and cement. It's electric so no compressor is needed. It was about $200 cheaper than Home Depot and it came with 2 pointed and two wedge chisels as part of the package. I paid about $80 to rent the same thing for just one day, and I needed this to be available when I'm ready to use it because I couldn't run it all day. I got tired after about 2 hours. The rental would have cost me way too much over time. Travel time to the store over several weeks would have taken a big toll on my time and my patience.

This is a great buy, I have used this for a job to remove a swimming pool, removed large rocks as well. My workers used this tool for eight hours a day for 3 months. It is still on the job.

I would recommend this to anyone who needs a heavy duty machine, at some 90 lb you need to be strong.

I would buy it again.

Peter
