After quite a number of years, my old Makita drill's battery would not hold a charge. I was happy to get an exact replacement. Some other replacements did not seem to have the quality of the original. The battery came from Amazon on time, well packaged and so far has worked perfectly. I hope to get quite a few hours on the old drill. Quality tools are like good old friends. You want to keep them forever.

I bought this Battery for my old drill.The battery was just what I was looking for,I didn't want to throw a good old drill out just because the battery got old.The price was right and the shipping was fast.I would recommend this company to my friends and family !!!

The older Makita tools use a battery that local stores do not keep in stock. This vendor sent a new one to me quickly.

Works great, but did think it was going to be an original Makita...not a rebuild. We could have gotten another rebuild cheaper. But no complaints.

Did lots of price comparison on the web and local stores. We even had one local merchant tell us for the price we got from Amazon to order two. We did.

After approximately 12 years, my original Makita batteries gave up the ghost. I really like my Makita drill/driver and therefore decided to spend the extra to get the Makita batteries, based on the performance of the original batteries. If you amortize out the cost of the batteries, they cost approximately $4.00 per year, a price well worth their performance. They hold their charge and allow a lot of use per charge. I purchased 2 batteries so I could continue working without having to wait to recharge the expended battery. Free shipping on the batteries is also a plus.

I love my Makita drill, but the batteries don't last more than 6 or 7 years with mild use. The drill came with two batteries, one which finally failed about 3 years ago. This battery replaced the second one which finally failed last year after 7 years of use. I firmly believe in buying replacement batteries from the manufacturer. I've purchased replacement ni-cads and li-ons from "no-name" brands for my tools and appliances and they don't last, don't retain a charge as long as the manufacturer's product, and don't provide as much power as the original. I think manufacturers' batteries are over-priced compared to the no-names, but for me they're worth the extra cost. Don't buy junk.

I have read on here about people that have bought this battery and it didn't work. I had the same problem with my original batteries about 5 years ago. I took my drill to a service center and they determined that my charger was bad. My original batteries lasted 10 years, during that time buiding many decks and many other home projects. I purchased 2 of these batteries and have now built 2 more decks. It is like having a new drill for a fraction of the price.

How do you get all warm and fuzzy over a battery? You don't. This battery was $20 cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes and it works well. My drill once again makes lots of holes which is music to my ears. Every Makita tool I have has always got the job done.

Bought a new battery thinking my old one was dead. Turned out it was the charger so this new battery finally works great with the new charger.
