I already had the Makita drill with two batteries, so I did not have to buy batteries which this thing does not include. But I love this item. Best thing I bought in a while. No more dangling cables.

This is a good quality light that I always want to have with me on jobs for the past five years. So far nothing compares to this tough light that works well in lots of areas.

I use this thing all the time. Got your head stuck under a dark sink trying to connect the faucet? A flashlight with a narrow beam doesn't really work. You know that already. This is the thing what you want. It spreads the light out to fill the space. It's bright and it stands up out of the way or hooks onto something. It lasts a couple of hours. The only thing I don't particularly like is the NiMh battery on that series of Makita tools. They work okay when charged but if you charge them up and then put them away on the shelf you are guaranteed a dead battery when you go to use it in a month. They take 30 minutes to charge, so if you have a job to do you have to remember to charge up the battery beforehand. I don't know how many times I've gone to do a job and pull out the Makita rechargeables and wah wah... It's like having dead noodle $ick. Total bummer! Thankfully that hardly ever happens, right;P Anyway, this thing really needs a battery that holds a charge when stored ike a NiCd or a Lithium-ion.

This is a great light when the power goes...
It will easily light up a whole room while you are twiddling your thumbs trying to figure out what to do next...:)

I have two of them, they are standard Makita quality and design, which has never failed me yet.

Very handy light for many purposes. I have taking this camping, worked on vehicles, worked on other projects with it, and it is built tough. I believe it has a 13 watt bulb, which is pretty bright. It burns at full brightness until it shuts off. I am guessing it runs 3-4 hours on a full charge for the 1834 battery (2.6 amp hour).
