I thought these would be a great addition to my Makita impact driver and was thrilled to find such a wide variety of ready to use bits. Sadly these bits are made of poor quality materials that don't withstand normal, everyday use. My first use of them was drilling small holes into wood for some lighting in my laundry room. Within minutes I had broken three of the drill bits so I had to get out my normal drill and bits from the garage to finish my project. This weekend I was fixing some trusses in my attic and brought the whole kit in case I forgot a bit. Every single Phillips bit in the kit broke while I was trying to screw two 2X4s together. I could understand one defective bit, but every single one? I ended up throwing the kit in the trash after I was forced to climb out of my attic to get my other drill and an old set of bits. Save your money because this bit set isn't worth any price you would pay.

This is ok for a homeowner with light/occasional use.I have never had a problem with makita power tools but i have definitely had better luck with Dewalt and Bosch bits than with this makita set. It feels cheap from the get go, managed to break 4 phillips bits the first day of using. Switched back to my old Dewalt set and havent broken another yet.

A good percentage of these bits are not symmetrical and have a pronounced wobble. Close inspection of the bits shows many instances of asymmetrical machining. This is unfortunate, because the steel and case are good quality. To be absolutely sure, I ordered another set and it had the same problem. The largest spade bit wobbled by 1/8 inch. I had to return both sets.

I purchased the Porter-Cable PCDD88 88 bit set: the machining is far superior, and the case and steel are very good.

Bought this as a gift for my son for Christmas and he loved it. Makita products are his favorite and we also ordered the rolling tool bag. Both were winners!

This set is a great complement to Makita's cordless drill/driver set. Almost any bit you need is included. Great value for the money.

Set is impressive when i first recieved it. lots of different tools to chose from with this driver set and additional (8) #2 phillips bits. A good value for the money compared to others. A few flaws i noticed. the 4 sets of individual bits for the magnetic bit extension fall out of there place when mobile, kind of annoying to always be having to put them back in place. just recently used the 1/8 drill bit and it rounded out in my drill driver after very little use. It now slides out of my dewalt drill driver every time i use it.

Absolute 3rd-rate garbage. Bits are made of pig metal or perhaps pewter. You won't be able to buy these individually for $20, but you'll spend your original $20 plus $30 more buying a good set of philips bits and wood bits. Save your money and buy DeWalt

I have snapped every number 2 bit with every first use of using. Says its made for impact drill...not really this are awful and Im surprised being that they are made from Makita

I am happy with the package, sadly within a day, I broke 4/7 drill bits. Drill bits were made from poor material. Also the philip screw driver head, they worn out so fast. If you are looking at quality, this set is not for you.
