This hedge trimmer really hums. You can tell that it is well engineered and easy to use. It is well balanced and not really too heavy. Easily goes through 1/4 inch branches. Very satisfied.

Looked all over for an 18 inch trimmer (...ok 17 and 3/4 inch) with good power. The Makita fit the bill. A bit pricey compared to other name brands, but worth it for the extra power.
