5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect addition to my custom AR-15
This is exactly what I was looking for, a combination VG/Bipod that is very high quality. Lightweight and strong, I wouldn't change a thing, perfect for me the way they are.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fab Defense Vertical Bipod
This has to be the worst vertical Grip I have ever used. I purchased this from another company (same exact model) and with in 2 months, it failed. It is a pain to close and will give you nice blisters if it happens to catch your skin between the 2 halves when closing. I wouldn't suggest trying to close it in a real combat situation. 1.0 out of 5 stars Fab Defense Vertical Bipod, July 29, 2010
This review is from: Mako Tactical Foregrip with Integrated Adjustable Bipod (Sports)
I ejected the Bipod mechanism I would say about 30 times and it then failed. The springs shoot the 2 steel legs out so hard that it broke the cheap plastic stops that it slams into. I contacted the manufacturer and sent pictures. There in Israel and I have received no response. If you want a top of the line Vertical, check this out:[...] You can get it under 50 bucks if you shop around. I just did. Good luck :)

when this came in i was super excited. it installed easy and operation is simple and effective. if you want to have that bi pod but still need that frong grip this is for you! it is much larger then i had expected. i would say about an inch to an inch and a half wide and not for people with smaller hands.

again if you are lookin for that front grip/bipod and are willing to spend the money this is perfect for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite steady, September 2, 2009
This review is from: Mako Tactical Foregrip with Integrated Adjustable Bipod (Sports)
I have large hands and the grip is a little thicker than the one I had. For me, it's a good thing. The only thing I don't like is that when it's open and set on it's legs, there's a little play side to side in the hinge rod that let's the gun rock from side to side just a little bit. So, you have to concentrate on keeping it steady. It seems to be made well and operates well except for this. I think a regular bi pod would probably work better but then you have to have it on the gun all the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent AR addition, November 8, 2011
I have now owned one of these grips for over a year and a half. I have had no problems with it at all!

It is a very sturdy grip/bipod, and regardless of its negative aspects--being large and a bit bulky--it is extremely useful addition to my AR-15 rifle.

I don't know what all the negative reviews are for: but I must add that IT IS NOT IDIOT-PROOF! It takes a bit of mastering! I recommend keeping the buttons pointing toward you instead of away. In order to effectively (and without much ware) eject the legs, you should hold the grip firmly and press the buttons. After they are safely ejected, then release your grip and allow them to separate. Don't just press the buttons and hope for the best--I can see how one reviewer must have worn the grip by allowing the ejector legs to separate while ejecting--that will create extra force that will ware harder on the polymer that forces the legs to stop! Once you are finished with the bipod you need to make sure both ejector legs are all the way out (push the buttons separately to check this), only after doing that you pull the grip back together, use your palm to push in the buttons, and press the ejector legs back into the grip by pushing the bottom of the legs against your thigh or a flat surface in front of you. These instructions my sound a bit complicated, but from the sounds of it some people need specifics!

If you want your bipod-grip to last for a long time use those common sense instructions!

My bipod grip has aided in many prairie dog and coyote hunts! Excellent product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nifty product, January 26, 2012

I ordered this because I thought I would want the grip further forward. It feels good, but adds a lot of weight to the front of the gun. It takes some getting used to operating the bipod, but isn't bad and feels sturdy.
