Maktubat (letters) of Imam Muhammad Masoom Faruqi Sirhindi are considered a source of great spiritual knowledge and an exegesis of his father's letters. Originally written in Persian and compiled in three volumes, this book contains excerpts from over fifty letters translated into English by various translators. These translations have been edited to use the standard transliterations of the terms. Original Arabic/Persian terminology has been preserved and a glossary of terms is provided. A short biography of the Imam is also included. Note that not all letters are translated professionally, rather every translation available has been included here. Most of the translations come from the books of Hakikat Kitabevi, seemingly translated from the Turkish versions of those books. All those translations are best edited to standardize the terms, spellings and formatting. Even then, if any errors are found, email us at the address included in the book. About the Author
Imam Muhammad Masoom Faruqi Sirhindi (also spelt Masum or Mathum) was the successor and third son of Mujaddid Alf Thani Shaykh Ahmed Sirhindi, the Islamic reformer of the eleventh century of Hijri calendar. The great Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir was his disciple and khalifa. Many rulers of the middle east were his disciples. His direct disciples are approximated to be more than nine hundred thousand, with seven thousand earning the status of a khalifa.
