I have Digital Wireless Stereo Headphones for listening to the DVD player when it is late at night so that I don't disturb my neighbors or my wife in the nearby bedroom. In order to listen to them, I would have to unplug the audio cables leading from the TV and plug-in the cables from the headphone base. This caused a lot of switching of cables, which did not please my wife. This product proved to be a very affordable solution, so now I can just mute the TV and turn on the headphones without swapping out any cables. The long cord also allows me to move the base of the headphones away from the TV, which makes them more accessible.

I was pleased with this product. Took it from the package, plugged it in and it worked. I don't pretend to be an expert but I did not notice any signal degradation at all as was mentioned in another review.

I just purchase a TV to replace my existing TV. After I swapped out, I realized there is no output from TV for audio. I have to hook up my wireless headset. I used this cable to solve my problem and works great.

The MALE+FEMALE end would just going to your set-up box, the headset input will just tap off the FEMALE end. This setup works even better than TV's audio output. Here is why. If you were using audio outputs, in order to stop sound comes out of TV's speaker, you would need to go inside menu and turn off the speaker(depends on TV). Lowering the volume or muted would kill all volume. Using this cable, you can simply muted the tv and your headset will still getting audio directly from the box.
