This review is from: Male Homosexuality: A Contemporary Psychoanalytic Perspective (Hardcover)
The author is a psychiatrist who pays closer attention to people with personality disorders than to normal people. The case studies are very interesting, although often tragic, because they focus on sick people (both Gay and straight). He points out that Gay people are not necessarily "sicker" or "healthier" than straight people. The author explains that development of human sexuality is very complex and differs from individual to individual. However, his specific theory, while not radical, has incited some controversy. |
