David Leddick has been an officer in the US army, a dancer with the Metropolitan Opera in New York and creative director of leading cosmetics brands. He has written and edited photographic books and has also been advertising consultants. He divides his time between Paris, Miami Beach and New York.

This has only about 75% of the contents of the original edition of this book by the same author and publisher and with the same title. The content it has is basically the same as the earlier edition but this edition has about 190 fewer pages and their photos.

I suggest purchasing the earlier edition if you can find it at a reasonable price as both editions are the same page size and general format. The summaries for each section are also the same in both editions per my quick check.

I bought this book wondering about the quality and quantity of male picture included, but I am totally satisfied. The book displays a comprehensive sample of male pictures from late XIX century up to today. I think it will be useful for fine art students and other people who need a good visual source for the male nude.
