Book Description

Sam Stephens and Meg Riley are in love, and finally on the cusp of sex anytime, anywhere, anyhow. That is until Meg’s Great Aunt Maud, the octogenarian nymphomaniac, gets tossed out of the old folk’s home and moves in with them, closely followed by her polar opposite, Meg’s scarily frigid mother.
Meg’s best friend Laura convinces Aunt Maud to invest in Male Review, a BDSM-themed male strip joint. For Meg, it’s just one more step along the path to disaster, made even worse when former prostitute Michael is hired as the bar manager. After all, Laura’s last venture ended with Meg being arrested as a pimp. And Michael’s to blame for the crazies invading Meg’s home, and even worse, he still has the hots for her.

If she wants to get her life back, all Meg needs to do is find a new home for Maud, resolve the dispute between her warring parents, keep Michael at arm’s length, and rescue her relationship with Sam before it disintegrates completely. Male Review appears to be just one more problem to deal with, but perhaps it could provide an unexpected solution.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sex and a Story.. What more can you want? August 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
When I first saw the opportunity to review this book, I wanted it. For some reason, it slipped through the cracks and I never realized that I hadn't gotten it until last night when I went to schedule this post. Well, let me tell you something -- even if I had gotten it months ago, I would have read it in read the whole thing in one setting. I absolutely LOVED this book.

Meg is so completely relatable with her self esteem and view of herself. The family just cracks me up like nothing else. Maud is an absolute RIOT. And Meg's mother? She makes me think of my own mother. As for the romantic interest in the story, Sam? He is one of my favorite male characters. The BDSM themed strip club that Laura, Meg's friend, opened amused me. The sex was hot and the interruptions were realistic too. I loved the way the BDSM was brought into the relationship. It was brought in in a realistic manner, so it was well done.

Thankfully, Male Review is a book that can stand alone, but it is the second in a series so I did miss out on a bit of backstory, but it didn't hurt the story any. I was able to piece it together and thoroughly enjoy myself. I highly recommend this book for anyone who's looking for a romance with some hot sex.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review as part of a book tour.

5.0 out of 5 stars Male Review - the laughter continues :-) June 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
When I want something light hearted, laugh-out-loud funny and sexy too, my automatic buy is Lillian Grant. MALE REVIEW, the eagerly awaited follow-up to MALE ORDER was worth the wait.

Meg and Sam had finally hooked up at the end of the previous book, but their path to new love would run anything but straight. Her crazy nympho aunt moving in was just the start.

<< The thought of him lying in his reclining chair naked with his fist wrapped around his hard, hot, heaving c**k sent a heat wave through her body and a definite dampening in areas that had no business being damp when you shared a bed with your eighty-something great aunt. >>

On the odd occasions they managed to get some privacy, they were usually interrupted.

<< Meg groaned with frustration. Not now, not when they were just about to... God, Sam was shrinking fast. His c**k flopped out of her and she dropped to her knees with a moan of, "No, no," intent on giving his manhood mouth to mouth. >>

When her scarily frigid mother followed shortly after, Meg gave up any hope of having any kind of sex life. In desperation, she goes to visit her father to try and understand why her mum has left him. She finds him entertaining friends:

<< "I hope you're planning on helping to clean up before my mother gets home."
Anyone would think she had lobbed a hand grenade into the middle of the table and shouted `incoming'. The two men so intent on poker a few minutes ago, jumped to their feet. >>

Then Sam drops a bombshell.

<< Sam met her gaze. This was a crossroads in their relationship. His answer could make or break the trust he'd built with her, but she needed to know everything about him, good and bad.
"I used to go to a BDSM club.

5.0 out of 5 stars Male Review sizzles October 1, 2012
By Soggie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
More of the fun characters I came to love in 'Male Order', including the troublesome Aunt Maud. All the elements of this story combine to make a frustration pie for Meg and Sam. There are plenty of near hits, but thankfully once they do get a moment alone, it sizzles! Looking forward to the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars ~Male Review November 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Phew! Ms. Grant takes my breath away. I have taken so long reading this because I have had to stop and wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes, not to mention the need to take my breath several times after reading about Aunt Maud. She is one frisky lady, not ready to join the other zombies her age. I highly recommend Male Review for a good laugh, but keep the tissue handy because you will need to wipe the tears of joy.

More About the Author

Born and bred in the UK, my whole life was turned on its head when, at the tender age of eighteen, I met and fell instantly in love with my darling husband. I knew the minute I met him I was going to marry him and, fortunately, he came to the same conclusion less than six months later.

My husband has shown me the world, starting by bringing me to Australia. The country we now call home, and where we have raised our two boys. It didn't take me long to turn native, becoming a citizen and dropping the British accent. However, our wanderlust didn't stop there, we have moved from state to state always ready for a new adventure. We have also visited many destinations around the world.

My stories reflect my love for travel and exotic locations, along with my quirky British sense of humor. Well, you can't give up all of your heritage now can you?
