A hard-to-find collection of photos of men together in couples and groups. A great collection of shots from over 40 photographers, including Clifford Baker, Kristen Bjorn, Bill Costa and Stanley Stellar.

MALE BONDING is a fine collection of photographs, 99 in number by 42 of the finest photographers of the genre. The theme is the title of the book and the variations of reflections on the concept of male bonding is broad, at times sensuous, at times heroic and at all times very well done.

The photographs are all in black and white, reproduced on high quality paper by FOTOFACTORY, and vary in size from full bleed to quietly bordered in different styles. Some of the more familiar artists include Robert Irwin, John Sonsini, Kristen Bjorn, Arthur Tress and Harriet Leibowitz, but that is not to say the remaining artists are not exceptional. This is a quality book that allows the viewer to discover the full spectrum of men with men and the dialog these images create is fascinating and thought provoking. Grady Harp, July 09
