I can't say enough about this product! When I first saw it and saw the price I was thinking, this is a lot of money to spend and how could this possibly work!?! I took the plunge and got it despite my skeptism. I was getting ready to have a new baby, while my current baby (8years old) was still wetting the bed, as had his relatives before him did. I had tried everything you can imagine and nothing, nothing, nothing worked!! I even got the perscription from the Dr. to help with bladder control... and that didn't work. He slept on our floor for weeks on end, where I would wake him up every 2 hours to pee and he would STILL wake up wet! I was desperate to find something that would work so that he could do sleep overs, have the self confidence and I didn't want 2 kids in diapers!
It took 3 almost 4 weeks for this product to work. Week 2 I honestly thought, it was not working. He would wake up to the alarm, but he would have already peed his bed by the time he made it to me to change his undies and repin him. Night after night it was the same, but it would happen less and less until one night he never came in. He had woken up and taken it off himself and never woke me or put it back on... I thought, ok now he knows how to get out of it! But I still put it on him every night and it would still wake him up. So, after having 3 dry nights I realized that this little gadget was actualy training his brain to recognize when he had a full bladder and needed to pee. He had one full week of dry and we went out to celebrate... the next week he would have 1 or 2 wet nights and then suddenly he was never wet again!!! I swear!!! Its been almost 3mo now and still NOT 1 WET NIGHT!!!! If it wouldn't embarress him to death, I would scream it to the hill tops that this is the best product in the world. Yes, its expensive, but just think about ALLLLL THE MONEY you will SAVE on Pull Ups! Its worth every single penny and you can't put a price on their new found confidence. Don't think twice, just buy this product. I am a mom of three boys with a family history of bed wetters and moms that have tried it all... This is THE ONLY PRODUCT THAT HAS EVER WORKED! My son loved the ARMY one and would brag to his older brother about it and the neighbors...lol!

I would not believe it if they weren't my kids. My 6 year old son and 5 year old daughter both had issues with bed-wetting. After using the Malem for about 2 weeks, my son was good to go and has not had a single accident in months.
We then used it for my daughter and had the same results. About 2 weeks wearing the unit and no accidents since. Prepare yourself to get up with them while they are wearing it though. It basically scares them awake and trains their brain when they need to go. Again, I can not recommend this product any more highly. It works as advertised.

I was extremely skeptical about the potential effectiveness of this product - but my son convinced me to get it for him. He wore it every night for 6 weeks and we were pretty good at following the directions - there were a few nights when the alarm didn't wake him up and a few others when we didn't escort him to the bathroom - there were also a few nights that we woke him up to go to the bathroom before the alarm went off - nonetheless, after 6 weeks he went 14 days without wetting the bed (while wearing the alarm) and has been dry for several months now.
****TIP - After the first few wet nights, we decided to have him sleep on an inflatable mattress to minimize the ordeal of changing the bedding every night.

We have a 13 year old son who has had a problem with night time wetting all his life. We tried medication with limited success. He had a bladder procedure which did absolutely no good. He is getting old enough that the night wetting really affected his sleep and attitude in school.
This monitor started to help him within a few days. It has been a month, and he is having consecuitive dry nights. It has really helped him to sleep at night. We are also seeing a drastic change (for the better) in him at school. To think we were considering a questionable and expensive surgery, I am so glad that we went this route. If nothing else, this monitor has paid for itself in the savings on buying no more abosorbant night pants. One note about a previous review. Somebody recommended a room monitor. I would hold off on it. We purchased it, but it has proven unnecessary for us. Your child may be different. For us, the alarm on this unit woke him up to the point that we never heard the alarm. I recommend that you follow up with your child, check the sheets, be positive and reward the good efforts as the alarm helps you. It has really been very successful for us.

My daughter is 12 and 1/2 and was utterly devastated that she could not remain dry. We took her to the doctor and tried medicine numerous times, but nothing worked. We were just about to take her to a specialist, but before putting her through embarrassing, painful tests, we decided to try this alarm. What a relief!! It took her about 12 weeks, but given her age and modesty, she did everything by herself. She is so happy and relieved now that she has been dry for the past 2 months. She is even able to drink right before bedtime now, something we rarely let her do before. Take my advice, buy this alarm. It may be pricey, but it is totally worth it, especially if you have to buy numerous packages of pull-ups; you will eventually recoup your money for this alarm by the amount of money you will save by not buying pull ups any longer.

IT REALLY WORKS!!,

My 5 year old son couldn't get through the night without having an accident. There was no hope on the horizon--he couldn't get through ONE night EVER, without going in his pull-up. In fact, most nights we'd change his pull-up in the middle of the night and the new one would be wet again in the morning.
We tried withholding water; we tried waking him up to go to the bathroom at night; we tried rewards, but nothing worked. He IS only five, so we weren't really worried, but his cousins were all night-trained, and he was starting to get embarrassed. He'd get upset at the store when he saw me buy pull-ups and beg me to put them back. A friend came over to play and as he went down the hall to my son's room, my son physically pulled him back down the hallway and told him to wait in the living room and NOT to come back to his bedroom until he said it was okay. When I went to see what was going on I realized he was hiding his pull-ups so that the package was hidden and none were visible in the trash. I gave him a hug and his little heart was just pounding because his friend almost saw them. It just broke my heart. I was SO AFRAID to buy this product because of the cost--what if it didn't work?--but it was worth every penny. I'm not sure it's so "high-tech" that it's worth $100, but it was worth every penny in that it actually DID night-train my son pretty quickly, and I know that made a great difference in his life. He feels like a real big boy now. He's proud of himself. I am THRILLED with this product and I encourage other parents to try it. I showed it to him before we bought it and explained what it did, and he asked me to please buy it for him. I let him pick out the color, though I made sure to only let him choose one that had the vibration option. I was worried about the audible alarm, thinking it might scare him and he'd refuse to wear it, but we tested it out and he chose to use the vibration only, which was easily loud and strong enough to wake him up without the audible alarm. (the vibration itself is loud--I could hear it from the other room.) This worked out well because we also have a baby and I was afraid the alarm would wake her up. We put his underwear on with the sensor attached to it, and then his pull-up on over the underwear and sensor. This way if he had an accident, we only had to deal with changing the underwear and pull-up, but not the bedding and jammies. He also felt more confident wearing his pull-up. We snaked the wire up under his jammies shirt and out his collar to try and make it safer (I was a little concerned about him getting the cord wrapped around his neck while sleeping.) He was excited about his little device and quickly learned to put it on himself. The first week his alarm went off maybe once or twice a night, and he'd come get me to help him turn it off and get to the bathroom. (Even if he emptied his bladder in his undies, it's important to go to the toilet and try to put some potty in it, if only a few drops, because that's what it's trying to teach: you have to go potty so you wake up and go to the toilet.) I started to notice that pretty quickly he didn't completely empty his bladder in his underwear. Just like the product says it does, he soon started only wetting his undies a little, and when he felt the alarm he was able to stop his urine flow and put the rest of his pee in the potty. Encouraging! This went from slight accidents to NO accidents in about 3 weeks. At this point he's been wearing the product to bed every night for about 2 months and we can't remember the last time it went off. After a long time with no accidents, we talked him into stopping wearing the pull-ups over his underwear. Our next step is to get him confident enough to stop wearing the potty alarm. In fact as I write this, this is the first night that he's gone just wearing his underwear and no potty alarm. He forgot to put it on tonight, and I'll tell him tomorrow morning what a success he had without it! It really works, and it's not that "strange" once you get used to it. I told him that all sorts of men use tools to help them--construction workers, scientists, soldiers--and this was just a different kind of tool. The camo helped too. I'm sure he would have eventually night-trained on his own, but this product helped him feel "normal" and confident, and for that I'd pay a hundred dollars any day!

My son in his 20's still had a problem with bedwetting. I decided to order the Malem Ultimate and let him give it a try. He was thrilled. The first night, it woke him and he was able to begin recognizing signals which he had apparently "turned off" unconsciously. After 2 nights, he has not had a bedwetting incident again. He says that the vibration and sound is so intensee, he began to recognize signals of a full bladder before it went off after the very first night. He awakens before the alarm now and intentionally knows to wake up and go to the bathroom. It is the best gift I could have given him. It has alleviated his anxiety and given him the self confidence he longed for, saving him incredible embarrassment. Fabulous effective product.

My son at 9 years old was absolutely dismayed that he was still having to wear pull ups to bed. But the kid could not wake up at night -- embarrassing on sleepovers, but just a misery at home. He was more than ready to try this funny little thing -- brilliant that they offer army camouflage to keep a boys interest! We saw results within what, less than two weeks I think. Our bedrooms are close, so when it did go off, it woke us up and we could immediately help our groggy son get to the bathroom. It didn't take more than 2 or 3 times of wetting and setting off the alarm to do the trick. I think he wore it the full six weeks, but he was staying dry consistently after about 2 weeks. It's now been a few months and bedwetting is a distant memory! Worth every penny!

If you re considering purchasing this, go for it. I bought one for my 7yo som based on reviews. It took some time, but within first month he slowly worked down to one accident a week or so, now that he's going two weeks or more without wetting we've removed alarm (I can deal with occasional accidents!) my son sleeps so hard he wet the bed nightly sometimes more than once, wetting never woke him I would go check on him and find him fast asleep, shivering in a lake of pee. Now he (almost always, like I said I can deal with occasional accident) goes through the night without wetting. THIS PRODUCT WORKS!
