A tamper proof selection switch can be easily set to sound only, sound and vibration or vibration only. The switch is located inside the battery compartment to prevent accidental or unintentional switching. All settings have flashing lights. Compact and lightweight (less than two ounces including two AAA batteries) with all the advanced features and advantages of the world famous Malem alarms. The alarm is connected to a clip-on sensor which detects moisture. This new Easy-Clip sensor easily clips and anchors to the outside of any close fitting underwear for boys or girls. NO sewing to hassle with or metal clips or snaps to come undone during the night. NO mini-pads to buy and attach each night! I've got three kids. My youngest, though easiest to daytime potty train, still hadn't gotten the hang of staying dry at night. She *always* has to go during waking hours and since she's a hard sleeper, she had an uphill battle.

Sick of pull ups, soggy sheets, and smelly jammies, I made a visit to my pediatrician. I love my pediatrician. He's great. He was MY pediatrician as a kid (yes, I'm an uber cool young mom), he has a bajillion kids of his own, so I have faith in his abilities. I looked at him sideways when he said (over the course of 2-3 years) "many kids aren't night time potty trained until they're 8... give it time." She's approaching an age where she'll be invited to sleepovers... and frankly? I'm sick and tired of the laundry. At my wit's end, I bought this.

While nothing is fool proof, it's helped my girl make leaps and bounds. She's dry most of the time (after 6 weeks of continuous use) and has finally gotten to a point where she wakes up on her own to pee. It's not the most comfortable unit, but what would be? It sounds like a car alarm and scared the bajeezus out of Shrimp and the rest of the family, but at least something finally woke her up to do the job. Its safety pin sometimes does leave a big hole in the PJ top, so be sure to not wear "cute" ones that you care all too much about. Plus, the purple color rocks.
